    She is described as a blond beauty, her personality as vibrant and as kind as her looks. Elizabeth has been Jack's best girl friend for years. They grew up with each-other and know basically everything about each-other. She used to be known as the 'good girl' but since she has gotten older she has been introduced to sex and drugs. In Bodily Communications Jack is crushing on her yet he is finding even more things about her on why he shouldn't be attracted to her anymore. He believes he is in love with Elizabeth, though, he realizes that he is wrong later in the story. After a disagreement with Jack, Elizabeth and him finally re-unite again and they put the past behind them. Jack makes it official between him and Liz that he only loves her as his friend. In Physical Interactions II you begin to see the darker side to Elizabeth, her kindness not being presented as much as it was in Bodily Communications. This is because she is jealous of Mia for being in a relationship with Jack - whom she has already realized she is in love with. Elizabeth kisses Jack - to his disgust - and Mia sees them mistaking it for them both kissing each other. The climax of the story was created by one significant move made by Elizabeth.

    Jack is first seen in Physical Interactions a quarter of the way through the story. He is labeled as the 'new guy' and finds it difficult to make friends at Beaconsfield High. Mia develops a crush on him the first time she lays eyes on him, however, the first time they speak she is quickly turned off from him as he makes a cocky remark to her... yet the very same day he saves her life by persuading her not to jump off a bridge. He is reluctant to befriend her at first due to his insecurities and lack of confidence by being at a completely new school, however they begin to get along very well and over a six month period are nothing but best friends. They soon fall in love but only split up after Mia betrays Jack several times. During the ending of the story they do not get back together entirely, but it is initiated that over time and after graduation they do. In Bodily Communications, the prequel to Physical Interactions, Jack is crushing over his childhood best friend, Elizabeth and finding difficulties to cope with being at home due to his very sick mother, aggressive father and dealing with the death of his only brother, Simon, who died of a drug overdose. Jack shows a great deal of courage and commitment towards his friends which are seen as his second family. He is tormented by Pete whom he has a long rivalry with for years and must protect his sister, Emily, and his friends as Pete creates a plan in order to get revenge on Jack. In Physical Interactions II Jack and Mia are shown about ten months after graduation, they have had a smooth ten months but since the story began they had been having a very rocky relationship. But Jack's strong love for Mia and her strong love for him does not fail and they soon re-unite to leave America for a vacation to England... where everything goes wrong.

    Pete is seen and described as the troubled teenager who does drugs, drinks excessively and has no cares for his life at all. He lacks intelligence and has somehow sunken into the well known and despised stereotype of 'Chavs'. He typically sports burberry baseball caps, track suits and long socks that are always for show as his pants are usually tucked into them. In Bodily Communications the climax of the story is Pete's evil plan to have sex with Elizabeth in order to get revenge on Jack whom he has had a long rivalry against for years. In Physical Interactions II Pete appears twice, closer to the end of the story and then at the end during the climax of the story. Pete, his friend Samuel and his unnamed friend known as 'the fat one' attack Mia on the street outside a pub, Joseph soon comes to her aid but he is soon killed by being pushed in front of a car by Samuel.

    In Bodily Communications Lisa is introduced as Jared's girlfriend whom he is madly in love with. She is described as quite the party girl yet in Physical Interactions II she is described as neither the party girl anymore - being entirely sober all of the time - nor Jared's girlfriend. However, minor significant signs suggest that she is still in love with him and him in her. When meeting Mia she immediately gets along with her and Mia finds Lisa the easiest to talk to out of all of the friends of Jack's... although Lisa isn't as close a friend to Jack as Diana, Elizabeth or the rest of them are.

    Michelle is originally introduced as Jared's new girlfriend and it is suggested that he is only using her as a tool to make Lisa jealous. She is described to have a petite body shape, a high pitched voice, very pretty and an amazing smile. Her personality is bubbly and excited yet somehow away with the fairies at the same time. After first meeting Mia, Michelle kisses her and realizes that her curiosities in females and awkward feelings when being touched by males all come down to her being a lesbian. She breaks up with Jared but eventually falls for someone else not too long later..

    Her looks are described as 'angelic' as is her personality. Her kindness and innocence only makes her character even more likable. She treats everyone with respect, however is quite the party-goer and has a dark and mischievous side too.

    It was predicted that since his family is so broken, that Josh would go exceptionally downhill. That was exactly what had happened. However, the one right thing everyone knew he did was get rid of his father. Mia's and Joshes father raped and beat their mother for years. When Josh was old enough and physically strong enough to realize this he kicked his father out of the house and said that if he ever came back he'd kill him. In Physical Interactions Josh was an apprentice and learning how to be a builder. He had drug problems yet was mostly sober. Towards the end of the story Mia believed that her brother and mother would get help and end their ways of drugs. Mia's mother does get help but it is suggested that she still might be using pot. Josh, however, never gets help and goes even further downhill. His close relationship with Mia crumbles to pieces when he attacks her but is luckily stopped by Warner. In the end of Physical Interactions II Josh is shown to be sober and on the way to recovery as well as trying to mend his relationship with his dear sister, Mia.
