After transferring to Isaac's school, Charlie and Isaac continued where they had left off. At 18 Charlie began secretly dating Isaac's younger sister, Stacey. They have been through plenty of hard times since and are at the moment still as in love as the day they first met.

He is a good friend of Stacey's but she becomes sick of him quite easily during the time she is in a relationship with Charlie as he is crazy jealous - so jealous that he doesn't speak to her for a while and even gets himself a beautiful girlfriend just so he can make Stacey jealous. This doesn't work. He works at his parents restaurant, Cafe Cavallino where he first met Stacey Kerr one year previously. His past was dark but since meeting Stacey he has changed dramatically.

Charlie's mother, Sandra, is always trying to look younger than she really is. She is always wearing the latest designer clothing, spending as much money as she wants and being absent from home constantly. She is married to Stan who works for the government. Sandra is unemployed yet is always out and busy whether it is going on holiday, going away to the spa for the weekend, getting her hair done, getting her nails done, shopping, etc. Although she hasn't gotten any botox or facelifts - that you would typically expect of a woman like Sandra - Stacey suspects that it won't be long till she does get something like this done. She is quite critical, ridiculing and 'bitchy' towards Stacey and Isaac indicating that she may not think they are good enough for Charlie.
