Characters

  • Humans

    Humans

Humans typically rule Astrael, from the capital city Farrian. They have forever been depicted as the leading race, and are the main populate of the country. They are skilled weapon smiths and blade masters, and take pride in the wealth they possess.

  • Elves

    Elves

The Elfen race typically lived in the forest, though most have now chosen to build villages and towns, and one main city – Elderwa. They are practitioners of Elemental Magic, and tutored wisely in the Arts. They are also generalised as a beautiful race. (General Looks: Slightly translucent skin, pale eyes.)

  • Néves

    Néves

Néves are the assassins of Astrael, dwelling in the small county of Katon west of the capital. They focus their abilities mainly in agility and dexterity, but are extremely good at Defensive Magic. They live in small colonies, with one or two cities. They descend from humans. (General Looks: Slightly feline, smaller than the average human.)

  • Vampires

    Vampires

Vampires were sprung from humans, born with a genetic disease which affected the level of haemoglobin in the blood. To counter this, they drank the blood of other vertebrates who had haemoglobin to keep themselves healthy. Their race has developed over thousands of years to have sharp canines, or ‘fangs’, to draw blood easier and lightning reflexes to catch quick prey. They were exiled, and now live in Katon with the Néves. (General Looks: Human-esque, but each has a small tattoo mark on their body symbolising their vampirism.)

  • Nomads

    Nomads

Not really a race; Nomads are people from other races who leave home and travel the world to practice Old Magic. They don’t have a set dwelling, preferring to spend a few nights in one place before moving on, or setting up a temporary camp in a deserted area.

  • Mercenaries

    Mercenaries

Mercenaries, or ‘Mercy’s’, are people from any race who have been blessed with Second Sight – the gift which enables the user to read into the opponents movements and mind, and control it to some extent. They are so called, because in the Last Great War, they were used as bargaining chips between allies and fought on the front line.
