Characters

  • Henry Pollard

    Henry Pollard

    Gender:
    Male
    Orientation:
    Straight

(as played by Adam Scott) Henry Pollard is a once aspiring actor now faced with the daunting prospects of starting his life over again. He gave up on acting after a roll in a beer commercial ruined his reputation and forced him to live with a background that everyone refused to take seriously. Now that reading lines and failing to get callbacks from auditions are behind him, he has no other choice than to work for his old buddy in the catering business again- a business he'd previously left for 8 years. While most of the job is soul-sucking and lifeless, Henry does meet Casey Klein, and that's far more than he can manage.

  • Casey Klein

    Casey Klein

    Gender:
    Female
    Orientation:
    Straight

(as played by Lizzy Caplan) Casey, like her coworkers, only works as a caterer part time (or so she tells people). As far as hopes and dreams go, Casey hasn't given up on hers just yet. She tries incessantly to book acting gigs, particularly those in the comedic field, and she's a self-proclaimed comedian. When Henry Pollard arrives at work one day, her short terms plans change quite drastically, as her marriage fails and she falls for Henry in one quick swoop. However, it's when she takes off for 6 months on a cruise ship comedy tour that her true feelings are tested. How will things with Henry be when she returns?

  • Uda Bengt

    Uda Bengt

    Gender:
    Female
    Orientation:
    Straight

(as played by Kristen Bell) Uda Bengt takes all aspects of life- from her career to her son- very seriously. Admittedly, she's quite abrasive when it comes to her job. She works for Party Down's rival caterer VolHolla Catering, and she is strictly business when working. She does, however, take an interest in Henry when she first meets him, and does her best to show her softer side when Henry finally comes around to date her. As far as whether or not feelings will blossom, is left up for debate.
