Senoma was adopted from the Ukraine by the Baker family when she was six years old. She was always closest to her brother Zacky, despite the three year gap in their ages. She has few friends her own age, prefering Zacky's friends. Senoma is shy, and is teased often because of her accent and difficulty speaking English. However, she finds solace in one person, and that is her brother's friend, Brian.

Raury is the best friend of Senoma Baker. She is more wild and outgoing than Senoma, and is responsible for most of the trouble Senoma gets into. Raury has never really trusted Brian, but tolerates him because of Senoma.
