  Nicknamed Prefect - As Head Boy at St. James’, Conrad was used to taking a position f responsibility and due to this standing the other members of the group naturally looked to him to take charge of the group. This was also helped by his good looks and physical size which gave him an “alpha male” type aura. Although scarred by the events of the outbreak, Conrad is able to keep a level head and maintain the morale of the group. While Conrad does not enjoy killing he understands that it is necessary and blocks the pain. During the time he spends in the U.S, Conrad trains with the Ranger Cadet Force (locally run by his father) and so has reasonable familiarity with firearms and military tactics.

  James

  Nicknamed Spanner - James was a member of the nerds clique by choice. He is strongly built, handsome and plays rugby at a national level. He appreciates the nerd’s intellectual prowess and so preferred to engage with them in intellectual debate (preferably about electronics or engineering) than hang about with “thugs, drugs or mugs”, even though he is good friends with many of the group. James taught himself to drive at the age of fourteen, and as the only one who bothered to do so he was made “designated driver” by the group. James is also responsible for maintaining and collecting the group’s technical equipment. Although familiar with firearms through his encyclopaedic knowledge of everything, James prefers to use his trusty bat “Mildred” when combat is absolutely necessary. Not upset with the destruction of his Ox-Bridge destined future, James brings the advantage of genius to the group.

  Nathan

  A solitary and possibly depressed individual, the only people who Nathan can tolerate were his previous gothic gang and the majority of the members of the group. He enjoys spending extended periods of time by himself which makes him the perfect reconnaissance agent. His huge amount of patience and seeming lack of emotions mean that he can wait out almost any sticky situation or turn it to his favour. When stealth isn’t an issue Nathan is an expert at getting his hands dirty at close quarters. His martial arts training and lightning fast reactions allow him to make short work of any Dead that dare face his blade. Another advantage of Nathan’s emotionless psyche is that butchering Dead has almost no impact on his mental state. The only person who can touch Nathan’s inner feelings is his girlfriend Svetlana.

  Israel’s father is an Israeli commando and his mother is a member of the Israeli Embassy in the U.K. He is extremely defensive of his Jewish heritage and pre-outbreak was infamous for savagely beating anyone whom he even suspected of Anti-Semitism. As a member of the Punks clique Israel was acquainted to Svetlana and Nathan through Nu-Metal concerts that they mutually attended. Although seemingly dim witted at times, Israel is sharp and has a firm grasp in reality. Israel revels in spilling the blood of the Dead although occasionally and unexpectedly breaks down in hysterics. Surprisingly Israel is not anti Muslim and proof of this is his current girlfriend Latiwa.

  Svetlana (Светлана)

  Nicknamed Doc - Nathan’s girlfriend and fellow Goth, Svetlana (or Svet) is as kind hearted and timid as she is pretty. Her childhood dream to be a doctor led her to spend every Summer since year seven gaining work experience in hospitals both in England and her homeland of Russia. This means that she has enough medical knowledge and practical experience to function as a medic and doctor for the group. Her skills are an invaluable asset and the group appreciate this, making Svet feel more valued than she ever did before the outbreak. Svet hates guns and killing which is why she only carries a small handgun that Nathan insists she has. Svet is the only member of the group who can read Nathan’s true feelings.

  Hiya-kō (冷鋼)

  Nicknamed Gogo - Before the outbreak Hiya-kō (or simply Hiyako) was unknown by any of the group. Even among her friendship group (entirely composed of various Oriental Asians) she was rare to speak. However when she does speak, everyone listens intently. Early on the group gave her the nickname Gogo after the psychopathic Japanese teenager from “Kill Bill”. Although unconfirmed by her, rumours states that her family has close ties to the Japanese Yakuza Yamaguchi-gumi. This would explain the strange appearance of the antique Nambu handgun that never leaves her side. Other rumours speculate that throughout her life she has received samurai and/or ninja instruction. This would explain the equally strange katana that also never seen off her person. What is clear is that Hiya-kō displays extraordinary martial arts talent and incredible skill with her sword. It is unclear what Hiya-kō’s views on killing Dead are, but when possible she prays over the bodies of those she slays. Hiya-kō’s compulsive tendencies make her brilliant quartermaster for the group and everyone trusts her to know what is needed at all times.

  Nicknamed Ali - Latiwa’s family are the ancestral bodygaurd’s of an extremely wealthy Muslim Nigerian family. When the youngest daughter was sent to St. James’ Latiwa was also sent as a companion and bodyguard in training. Her uncle Mohammed was also sent to become a physical education teacher at the school where she studies and act as a advisor/bodyguard to the girls. She has a controversial yet strong relationship with Israel and is just a violent as her boyfriend when it comes to intolerance. Her powerful attitude means that she is looked down on by no man and she often challenges males to fights to show her dominance. Although Israel was a punk before the outbreak, she chose to hang out with the sporty girls in order to keep her aggression focused on physical activity rather than people. Her chosen sport is boxing and this is the reason why she is cheerfully referred to as “Ali” after the legendary boxer of the same name. When donning her dusters, Latiwa has been known to kill Dead with a single punch. Latiwa finds that she needs to work herself into a blood rage in order to fight the Dead and so often has depressive lapses after confrontation.

  Nicknamed Blondie - Absolutely beautiful yet absolutely hopeless. Katrina has the one talent of perfectly performing (and even enjoying) mindless and repetitive tasks. Because of this and her abhorrence of violence, Katrina was put in charge of helping everyone out in general. This includes cleaning and treating wounds, collecting and moving supplies and equipment, constructing simple machinery and cleaning and maintaining guns and ammunition. As Conrad’s ex-girlfriend she takes a motherly approach to the group which is often appreciated. However she is resented by some members of the group for not taking part in combat.
