Cassie works at Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club with Amanda. She’s been an employee there since she was 18, after developing a serious heroin addiction. Her boyfriend of three years is Trace Caulfield, and though he’s a substance abuser, she picked up heroin from his brother, John. She and Trace live together but have many problems due to their conflicting personalities. Now that she believes she’s pregnant, though, the two are working hard to solve their problems for their alleged child.

Trace has been addicted to crystal meth since he was 16, and it’s amazing he’s still alive. He’s very flirtatious, and it’s one of the main problems between him and Cassie. He works at a car shop and doesn’t get paid very well, but between his and Cassie’s income together, they make it by. He’s excited to have his own child, and despite all his faults, he makes a good provider. His biggest downfall, though, is that he doesn’t really want to get clean. He supports Cassie in her struggle to kick the addiction to heroin, but he doesn’t have a real interest in forgetting about his own love for crystal meth.
