  Eve Galloway's parents were approached by Professor X when she was a baby to be told she was a mutant and her extraordinary powers had been registered with the school. and when she was older she could be given the choice to join his school. Her parents never told her, trying to explain away her psychic powers. By the time Eve was sixteen however, she had no more time to figure out what was wrong with her- Nuclear War wiped out the world and she was forced to go into hiding. Her powers helped her evade the nuclear fallout and the rogue villains that had taken over the world she once knew. She's had several run in's with the Joker, who has taken a special interest in her as he has never experienced mutants before, and it was him who gave her the nickname, "Jinx" which she adopted.

  Zero

  Little to nothing is known about Zero, he drifted around the wastelands of the world he once lived in, picking off those turned bad. This was until he was found destroying an enemy outpost and those who worked there. Those left of the Justice League had heard rumors of him for a long time, and were eager to let him join them.

  When Max Walker first heard about Batman, he knew he aspired to be like him. So across the ocean from his hero, he began training at the age of thirteen. Five years later, the war broke out and Lex Luthor, Zod and others began terrorizing the world- Max's training was put into sudden practise. Stories of him traveled far, and he was sought after by both good and evil. He found himself in a dire situation, trapped in the clutches of Bane. When all seemed lost none other than the caped crusader appeared at the last possible moment. Max Walker found hope in an otherwise grim world; he had gotten his wish of becoming his hero's apprentice.

  Batman

  Batman was well known all over Gotham and the world for stopping evil, and was a member of the ever effective Justice League. He thought he had overcome everything until Lex Luthor captured and tortured Superman, triggering a chain of events that changed everything and lead to nuclear war. Batman's identity was revealed to be Bruce Wayne, and the evil powers now running every city in the world put him as the world's Most Wanted, a huge reward enticing anyone to go against him. He took to traveling under the cover of darkness, eventually stumbling upon a Robin to take over for him when he died. Batman's only mission for now is to recruit, knowing numbers have to be bigger to stop the destruction.

  Wolverine

  The result of an experiment gone wrong, Wolverine is ageless and has no memory of his long and bloody past, but has a fondness for bar fights and cigars. He took to the mutant academy when things started to go down hill, but after the X-Men were defeated trying to deflect the fast approaching war, he escaped with a bruised and battered Professor X. Based now in Europe, he works closely with Bruce Wayne to free the continent most likely to revolt against Zod's rule, and helps hunt down the mutants that the Professor can still sense. He has the utmost contempt and is disgusted by those who turned and hid or joined with Luthor and Zod.

  The Joker

  Unlike most villains that had once been rogue in the world, after the war broke out Joker did not join with Luthor. He instead chose to still roam the empty and barren streets with his ever-faithful Harley Quinn. Finding joy in torturing those who still had hope for being saved, Joker hid the disappointment that the war had rid him of killing the Batman. More insane and unhinged than ever, Joker finds his situation to be one big joke. He seems to take more joy than anybody else at the sight of fallen cities and their hero's and his still-steady obsession with Bruce Wayne is rivaled only by his recent revelation of the mutant phenomenon.

  Batgirl

  After Gotham city had fallen and Batman had fled it's streets, twelve year old Jennifer found herself alone and without hope. She spent two years captured by Bane and subjected to his cruelty, but when she escaped she was determined to survive. She dedicated herself to learning every inch of the ruined Gotham streets and trained relentlessly. Fighting petty crooks that looted and tortured and ***ed with free abandon, Jennifer was ruthless and grew up bitter and cold. Trying to find food and shelter one winter, she stumbled upon the ruins of Wayne manor, and the batcave. Little was left to salvage- except a suit that fit her perfectly, and she decided that when Batman returned she had a thing or two to teach him.
