Isolde, "Iz" to her close friends, prides herself on living happily and independently, choosing to live her life free of commitments, in both love and in where she calls home. She flits from town to town, country to country with her suitcase and camera enjoying the benefits of being a freelance photographer. She's quick to decide where to move to but when it comes to little decisions she tends to over-analyze. She has blue eyes and shoulder length blonde curly hair with side swept bangs and a streak of color on the right side of her hair that changes bi-weekly.

Owner of “B.W.” Magazine, she’s a plus size model, designer, and writer who was one of the first people to encourage Isolde to not only pick up a camera and use it, but to also start a blog to speak her mind. Alisha advocates very much for those who have a curvaceous body and inspires young girls to embrace their figure and not shy away from it. She’s comfortable in her own skin, and much like Isolde speaks her mind and very rarely filters. She grew up in England, but much like Isolde she spends most of her time traveling, though she makes her home in London and tends to spend her down time there. In the near five years that she’s known Isolde, Alisha has tried to hire Isolde on a much more permanent basis as not just a photographer but as a writer for B.W. as well. Though Isolde refuses on a regular basis it doesn’t stop the tenacious Alisha from asking her at every chance.

Benedict Knight

Benedict is more then just a chief editor for B.W. magazine, he’s Alisha’s right hand man as well as Isolde’s when she’s in charge of photo shoots. His OCD doesn’t allow for any mistakes and prefers to take charge in major tasks rather then allow other people to do things, which means he’s entrusted with much more then editing articles for B.W. He’s fun loving and has a quick tongue which puts even Isolde in her place. He’s one of the few men that is allowed to see Isolde without her shields, and she claims the only reason behind that is because he’s very much gay and isn’t capable of breaking her heart like other men. Much like Alisha, his home base is in London, but tends to travel with Alisha and at times Isolde. he’s also Josef’s #1 fan, and much to Isolde’s amusement has been vying for Josef’s romantic attention for years.

Soya Eeva Valo

Soya is the fiance and later wife of Finnish rocker Ville Valo. When Isolde first meets Soya, she's a quiet young women who hasn't quite found her backbone, later as Soya grows into herself, she quickly becomes one of Isolde's closest friends in Helsinki. Soya is quiet by nature, and prefers to listen rather then to talk, though when she does talk she tends to have sage advice and a compulsion to mother people and take them under her wing. While she mothers her friends, her friends feel the need to protect her from her naive and at times too trusting ways. Her story is told in "Scream Me a Dream".

Ville Hermanni Valo

Frontman of the band HIM and fiance and later husband to Soya Toivonen. Ville is one of Jussi's best friends and later becomes Jussi's source of information on how to handle being in a "normal" relationship. He is protective of those he considers family and while he isn't as close to Isolde as Soya is he considers her and friend and by extension welcomes her into their little family of friends easily.

Rosalind is one of Soya's best friends and later turns out to be a very close confidant for Isolde. She's is the drummer and singer for her band Revolution which she and her brothers formed when they were children. She speaks her mind very rarely filtering anything that leaves her mouth, very much like Isolde. Even with her personality flaws, her friends adore her as she's loyal to a fault, never failing to be there for the people she loves. She's family oriented, happy to be at home with her daughter, Impi, and her bothers and has been in a very publicized on again, off again relationship with Jyrki 69 for at least ten years.

Jyrki "69" Pekka Emil Linnankivi

Jyrki is the front man of The 69 Eyes, one of Jussi's best friends as well as Rosalind's on again/off again boyfriend, along with the father of their five year old daughter Impi. Much like Ville , he's protective of those he considers family and because of this has a very difficult time accepting Isolde into their fold. While he's courteous and is never outright rude to Isolde, Jussi knows its an uphill battle to get his friend's approval.

Josef is Isolde's best friend, having been the first person she met after she moved to Prague at the age of 10. Josef is the youngest of five and has blonde hair and blue eyes that run in his family. He and his family take Isolde under their wing as a child and quickly consider her an extra daughter and sister. He tends to have a short temper and doesn't sugar coat things, which appeals to Isolde's own straight forward attitude. He and Isolde tend to clash and spend most of their time arguing with each other, but it only proves to Josef and Isolde that they're more then just friends but siblings.
