Basics: Name Meanings: Ivy: It is of Old English origin. Name from nature; “an evergreen climbing ornamental plant which represents fidelity and eternity.” Also it is tradition in the Evans family to name their daughters after flowers, although Ivy isn’t really a flower, her mother loved the name. Seraphina: Latin, meaning “burning one”. Potter: A name derived from a trade practiced by an ancestor -- far enough back, someone in the family line made earthenware items. (Not to sure about that but it was the best I could find) Snape: “to be hard upon, rebuke, snub,” from Old Norse sneypa “to outrage, dishonor, disgrace.” Nicknames: Poison Ivy, for those that don’t like her, though it doesn’t bother her. Sis. Birthday: July 31st 1980, three minuets after Harry. Down to the back of her knees, no bangs, by the time she turns 17. A very deep burgundy color, that looks pitch black, unless its under proper lighting. She likes to keep it loose, because she requires help to put it up, and she already has to ask someone to help her brush it properly. Not that the girls in her house mind. It’s naturally straight, and flat. She loves it like that, but the girls are always trying to get her to let them style it, no matter how many times she says it won’t hold. The only time she puts it up is for Potions Class and Flying Lessons, and then its held up in a bun with two black, with silver snakes, kanzashi, otherwise known as ‘Hair sticks’, in the shape of an ‘X’ She always carries them with her, because they where a gift from Narcissa Malfoy, and just in case she needs to quickly tie up her hair. They are carried in a small black velvet bag, charmed to be bigger on the inside, and that whatever is inside can not be broken. Eyes: Shocking Emerald green, and almond shaped, everyone says she has “her mothers eyes.” Skin: Alabaster Height: 5’3” when she first enters Hogwarts, 5’9” when she’s 17 Build: Slender, and small, at first, by third year, she has noticeable curves, and fifth year, she is a striking slender, curves in the right places, very beautiful young woman. Piercings/Tattoos: She gets her ears pierced before her third year. Clothing Style: Ivy is a bit of a stickler when it comes to the Hogwarts dress codes, as far as wearing the uniform is concerned. Though when making Potions, she pushed the sleeves of her robes up and out of they way, and holding them there with safety pins. Muggle Clothing: Not one for being overly girly, she tends to stick to slightly loose jeans, slightly loose long sleeved shirts, with a black jean jacket and comfortable sneakers. Personality: Likes: Rain, and dancing in the rain. The dark. Silence. Cats of any kind big or small, wolfs, and snakes. Blood red, black, and light blue roses. Reading. Having interesting conversations about really anything. Potions class. D.A.D.A Class. Charms Class. Transfiguration Class. Herbology Class. Inventing things to improve the magical world. Dislikes: Small spaces. Loud noises. Being touched. Being sneaked up on. People that judge others before they get to know them. The stupid predigests against the Slytherin House. People making fun of Severus Snape. People who are only interested in her for her fame. Large crowds. Favorite Colors: She likes dark colors, but mostly Black, Crimson Red, Emerald Green, and Silver. Dreams: To find out what a home is, and having a family, and to finally feel safe. Hobbies: Reading. Researching. Creating new Potions. Fears: She fears that she will never know that it is like to feel safe. Other Information: She is nice, to those who are nice to her, and her friends, and those she considers family. She’ll only give you two chances, if you blow it the second time, she won’t even bother with you. She is highly intelligent and very observant. She doesn’t need other to protect her, but they do anyway, because she is their “Little Sister”. She always obverse a situation before getting into it. While she may be easily to get a long with, if you mess up your two chances, all bets are off and you’ll most likely wake up in the Hospital Wing wondering what happened. She can make you feel like you are only two inches tall, while never once changing her tone, nor rising her voice. School: House: Unknown Quidditch: Finds it a waste of time. Best Subjects: Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Ancient Ruins, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Astrology Worst Subjects: History, Flying (she’s not bad, she just doesn’t find it as appealing as Harry does), Muggle Studies (Never took it). Elective Classes: Ancient Ruins, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures Notable Abilities: Ivy excels in Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Ancient Ruins and Herbology. Parseltongue, and can speak to and understand anything in the feline classification (cats, tigers, panthers, cheetahs and so on.). Magic: Wand: Sleek and slim black, Hawthorn wood, a combination of Demiguise hair and Doxy wings for the core. 13” long. A well rounded wand for all types of magic, but performs D.A.D.A, and Charms magic, most often then not within the first few times. Relatively easy to use newly learned spells. Patronus: Doe, every one things that it represents Lily, when in actuallity it takes after Severus’s which takes after Lily's. People automatically assume that since Harry's patornus is a Stag which takes after James animagus form that Ivy's patronus takes after Lily. But both patronuses take after their fathers. Animagus: Black Panther with Emerald green eyes Pet: A jet black, sleek and soft furred, part Kneazle, part British short hair, female cat, named Jynx. She’s very intelligent, and very protective of Ivy, even though she’s a cat. Jynx takes a liking to Ivy, and vise versa, when she showed up in Magical Menagerie, during her first visit. She often talks with her, sharing his views and opinions about things, and gets along with Crookshanks pretty well. Boggart: Unknown. People, even teachers, say that she is to logical thinking to fall for a Boggart. Relationships: Ivy is friends with Fred, George, Draco, Luna, Neville, Hermione, Ginny, and sometimes Ron. Best Girl Friend: Luna, from second year on out. Best Guy Friend: Draco, who she ends up starting to date in third year, but they both decide it’s better to remain friends, when they find out Severus is her father, towards the middle of the year because Severus is also Draco’s Godfather, so Draco decides to become, Ivy’s oldest brother/Best Guy Friend. Harry: Her older brother, and they have a mind link. Fred and George have a mind link with each other, because they are twins as well. They met on the train, in Harry’s and Ivy’s first year. After becoming closer friends, Harry and Ivy can think toalk to Fred and George, but only if they direct their thoughts to them, and vice versa. Fred: Considers him an older brother by one year (yes I am changing his and George’s ages, because I can.) And he is her future Brother in Law. George: At first he was just a prank crazy friend, she never thought of his as a brother figure, and didn’t understand why, until February of her third year, when he decides to ask her out. They started dating ever since. Her future husband. Ron: Tries to act like an older brother to her, but she considers him more like an annoying little brother. Ginny: Is her a younger sister, while, Hermione is an older sister. Neville: his her klutzy older brother by one day. Severus Snape: ever since she first met him, she has looked up to him, much to his annoyance, or at least that’s what he says. She finds out that he is actually her father towards the middle of third year, because of a potion Severus has them brew, which if brewed right, a few drops of the potion, and their blood on a piece of paper, it will show their family tree. Talk about surprises in the middle of class. Poppy Pomfrey: Her health nut of a Godmother. Remus Lupin: her loving werewolf of a Godfather. Minerva McGonagall: at first Ivy was unsure of her, but when she found out that her Animagus form was a cat that she had talked with she started to considered her like and Aunt. Narcissa Malfoy: Looks to her as the mother she‘s always wanted but never had. Lucius Malfoy: Looks to him as an Uncle. Molly Weasely: Her over-bearing future mother in law. Arthur Weasely: Her plug collecting future father in law. Albus Dumbledore: She is always wary of him, and while she respects him, she finds that he’s to judgmental to be considered her family.
