Dallas Winston is one of the most feared hoods on the East side of Tulsa. He has a mile long police record, and isn't quite known for his honestly, but he'd rather die than betray his friends. He spent three years on the wild side of New York, and got arrested at the age of 10. If Ponyboy, the youngest Curtis, had to describe Dallas, he would say that he had an elfish face, with high cheekbones, white blond hair that hung over his forehead and kicked out in the back, and blazing, ice blue eyes.

Darry is the oldest of the gang, and the most mature. After his parents' deaths, he dropped his dreams of going to college to take care of his younger siblings and keep the house. He worked two jobs so he hardly had any time off to relax and hang out with his friends and family. But his family is his first priority, and he's much stricter with his siblings than his parents were because he doesn't want the State to take away what's left of it. *Character portrayed by Patrick Swayze.

Evie is one of Katherine's best friends, and is dating Sodapop's best friend Steve. She can be tough when she wants to, but around her friends, she's really sweet. She's loyal to all her friends, and will do just about anything to make sure that they're happy, even if it means breaking the law.

Jimmy is one of Tim Shepard's boys, meaning that he belongs to one of the toughest gangs on the East Side. In fights, he's known to use anything that he has on hand to not get beaten up, even guns. But Katherine remains weary of him, as he belongs to the more socially elite "Socs", and they are not known to be friendly to greasers such as herself. Johnny is the second youngest of the gang, and the quietest. He's one of the most loyal guys that someone could ever meet, and one of the least violent, but like anyone in a desperate situation, he'll do anything to get out of it. *Character portrayed by Ralph Macchio.

Sodapop is the happy go lucky charmer of the gang. He understands everyone and everything, which makes him everyone's best friend.
