Riley has the ability to manipulate most unnatural and natural resources as well as people, which is what gained her name as the Manipulator from the reporters that noticed her. Her weakness can be found in the form of the rare grey gem stones found deep in the earth. She was orphaned as soon as her family became aware of her powers, she was left to fend for herself, finding her way to the London streets, getting money from fighting in the streets and entertaining gangs. Soon she finds she had a power she wasn't even aware of, the power of flight.

Skylar comes from a religious family and is very rebellious due to the tough restrictions, she has done anything to annoy her mother - including joining a rock band (City Rioters). Shortly after her seventeenth birthday her eye's changed colour, in order to mask this she bought contacts, then she found out she was a mutant - she has the ability to change into any animal. She got into a fight with her mother that almost killed her and seeked refuge at her boyfriends house, he then called the cops and she fled to New York from Chicago.
