Born on September 4th, 1997 in Lawrence, Kansas. Previously lived in Eugene, Oregon for 5 months. From moving around so much she never fully completed her sophomore year of high school. Her dad's job moved her family to Beacon Hills, California during her Christmas break. Jessica is seen on the outside as being a confident but quirky teenage girl. Though Jessica is just as self conscious as the average teenager, she fears that she'll never make any new friends in this small town. Since her family moves around a lot she hardly ever keeps her friends from different states, especially when those friendships turn into something more. Jessica has had a couple of serious relationships, though they never lasted because she always moves to different states. She wishes that one day her dad's job would let him stay in one state for more than a semester of school. Though if not she has 3 more years until she graduates and goes off to college on her own were her life will not be as unpredictable.

As a teen several conspirators orchestrated an arsenal attack on his family's home. Which is how Derek's family was killed except for himself, his uncle, his sister's Cora and Laura.

Born and grew up in London, England. Moved to Massachusetts and met Kathy Brown, married her in 1992. Moved to Lawrence, Kansas. Became a father to Jessica in 1997. Works at a company that moves him to different states. Lee grew up in a very strict and traditional household with strong morals on life. When he was young he did what he was told, even if that meant cleaning the whole house. Since Lee grew up in a very different household than his wife Kathy, he tends to be the overprotective one. He does not like that Jessica goes to a public school full of boys and girls who will influence her into things that could potentially ruin her life. Lee does have a curfew on Jessica; she must not be out any later than 8 pm on school nights and 10 pm on the weekends. Since he has caught her sneaking out and in a few times, though his wife Kathy told him to let it slide a couple of times. His wife is who helps him stay sane and a semi-cool father.

Born and grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Married Lee Grey in 1992 and moved to Lawrence, Kansas. Gave birth to Jessica on September 4th, 1997. Works as a traveling nurse. Kathy is a very loving mother, though she knows that Jessica is a responsible young woman. She gives her daughter more freedom than her husband Lee, because she once was that little girl who had a very overprotective father. Kathy's husband is much more strict and traditional than she is, since he grew up in the United Kingdom. She just doesn't worry that much about Jessica, Kathy trusts that her daughter will do the right thing and obey her family's requests. Though she does know that Jessica has stayed out too late with a boy or went to a party, however, she knows that's a part of growing up. I guess you could consider Kathy Grey as the cool mom.

Scott attends Beacon Hills High School in Beacon Hills, California, where he plays lacrosse. His parents are divorced and he lives with his mother, Melissa, who works as a nurse at the Beacon Hills Hospital. Scott has an after school job at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic as an assistant to Dr. Deaton. While wandering in the woods he was bitten by Alpha werewolf Peter Hale and cursed with lycanthropy. He is now captain of the Beacon Hills High School Lacrosse team. According to the coach Bobby Finstock, he is the best player on the lacrosse team.

Born in Beacon Hills, California and is a junior at Beacon Hills High School. Lydia seems, on the surface at least, to be shallow and bratty but this is an act. She actually has a genius level IQ, is well versed in chemistry and understands both classical and archaic Latin. She is also one of the most fashionable and popular students at Beacon Hills High School. She hides her intellect in order to retain this social status. Lydia has been shown to be manipulative with her friends, using them when it suits her ambitions. She is also, like most teenagers, overly sensitive and emotional in matters of the heart.
