Sage is Holland's best friend friend since childhood and fellow homeschooler. He's incredibly shy and meek, despite Holland's constant attempts to include him into the group. Because of how close Holland and he are, wherever Holland is, Sage can usually be found not far away, often attempting to be the voice of reason in Holland's free-spirited head.

Although he is obviously the black sheep of his family, he has always been close with them - even when he started playing the drums in their garage and getting tattoos.
