Corinne Adams is the most popular girl at Prestige University. She is the most superficial and self-determined person you will ever meet, but she takes pride in that. The world is only important when it can offer her something. The only person that Corinne cares about (though it is very small compared to herself) is Gena Manson, her bestfriend. Not even her rich, popular boyfriend, Ryan Beach, can make that list. Corinne gets a job to put herself through school because depending on Ryan would wreck her independent image. So she gets a job at Mercy Hospital. However, Corinne is unaware of what she is getting into. This decision will forever unearth the fantasy life that she has come to know.

Gena Manson is Corinne's best and only true friend. Gena considers Corinne her sister. They've known each other since middle school and keep each other balanced. Though Corinne is not fully appreciative of all that Gena does, she still sticks with her. Gena is a mild tempered, and playful athlete, who does not take school as seriously as her best friend. Her goal is to get along with everyone. She makes supporting Corinne her ultimate job. She knows Corinne better than anyone else.
