Originally from Canada, Autumn moved to the States after graduating from college with her degree in pharmacy. She roomed with Katherine throughout college, and the two became best friends. She's the surrogate mother for Katherine and Cade's child after the two of them found out that Katherine couldn’t carry a baby to term. Autumn's favorite thing to do is to stay at home and have movie marathons. She loves all movies, but any with her favorite actress, Kate Hudson, are her favorites.

Katherine moved to Chicago when Cade started his residency at Rush Hospital right after they got married. She'd do anything for a baby, and she was devastated when she found out her body simply would not carry a baby to full term. Knowing the only way they could have a baby of their own was through surrogacy, she and Cade began looking for a surrogate mother. She couldn't have been more excited when her best friend Autumn offered to do it for them.

Starting goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks, Corey can't walk around Chicago too much without at least one person recognizing him. He was on the Stanley Cup winning team in 2013, and it seems like everyone in Chicago now knows his name. Though he loves his job, he sometimes wishes that he could disappear into the crowd like everyone else.

Cade is completing his residency in the emergency room at Rush Hospital. He would do anything for Katherine, and he's looking forward to being a father. He always tells Katherine he wants a little girl who looks exactly like her, but part of him wants a little boy who he can teach to play football. In the end, he just wants a healthy baby, and he knows Autumn can provide the environment their baby needs.

Brianna is a morning radio personality who is seven months pregnant with a baby boy. She befriends Autumn easily with the two of them having a lot in common, both in relationships with members of the Chicago Blackhawks and both pregnant. She becomes someone that Autumn can go to when she has questions about both her pregnancy or her relationship with Corey.

Brent is Katherine's brother, and is very protective of the baby Autumn is carrying. He's about to be a father himself in a couple of months and he couldn't be more excited. Brianna is his second wife, after his first wife died from leukemia several years before. He's always been protective of his family, and he's no different with Brianna, Katherine, and Autumn, who is becoming yet another important female in his life.
