Autumn was a surrogate for her best friend, Katherine, and her husband, Cade, and gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Harper, just over six months ago. She's engaged to Corey Crawford and is currently pregnant with his baby. She's close with her father since he raised her pretty much her entire life after her mother walked out on her when she was five. She loves watching movies, and will often choose a movie over going out. She's also obsessed with coffee and gets very cranky when she isn't allowed to have it.

Corey's a well-known face in Chicago, after leading the Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup a couple of years ago, and having a stellar season this past year as well. He's excited for the upcoming season and ready to lead the team once again. He gets a lot of attention from women in the city, but the only one he cares about is Autumn. He's excited to be a father, having always wanted kids of his own. However, he's not as excited to have to deal with a pregnant Autumn going through her coffee withdrawal again, though he at least knows what to expect this time around.

Katherine and Autumn have been best friends since they roomed together in college. Katherine couldn't be happier with her new baby Harper as part of her and Cade's family. Now that Harper is finally there, she's a little less intrusive of Autumn's life, though she still is there for her.

Cade just finished his residency in the emergency room and is now working at Rush Hospital as a full time physician. His life is chaotic between his hospital schedule and having a newborn at home. He's now used to getting next to no sleep and has learned how to function on just an hour-long nap. It may be crazy, but he wouldn't give up baby Harper for the world, he loves her and Katherine with his whole heart.

As Katherine's brother, he's Harper's only blood uncle, and he couldn't be prouder of his little niece. He's got a little boy of his own at home, who he can't believe is growing up so quickly before his eyes. He and Brianna are about to celebrate their four year wedding anniversary. He was married once before to a woman named Chelsea who died of leukemia.

Brianna is a radio personality who just went back to work full-time after her son, Ryan, was born and was promoted and given her own morning show on the local mix radio station. She and Brent have been married for almost four years now and is happier than she's ever been.

Autumn's father is a die-hard Red Wings fan who just retired from being a pharmacist in Canada and now has moved to Illinois to be closer to Autumn. He takes a liking to Autumn's wedding planner, Maya, even though she's younger than Autumn.

Maya is hired by Autumn and Corey to be their wedding planner. Even when Autumn decides to postpone the wedding until after the baby is born, they keep Maya on board to continue planning, just moving everything until later. Maya starts dating Alan, something that Autumn is not keen on at all, especially since Alan is double Maya's age.
