and Gerard was dancing about the campsite singing ‘Honey, Honey,’ by ABBA.

Max. dear, I think I love you :cheese:
It's a life long dream of mine to some time hear Gerard Way sing ABBA. It just needs to happen irl too now. In Love

I love Gerard in this story so much. He realy has that air about him that makes you want him and you make it very clear that Frank is really intrigued by him. Just the way Gerard moves is fascinating, and I love how all the older people on the circus talks of him, really making it clear that he's a whore who Frank should stay away fro if he wants to last. And Frank evidently knows this as well, judging by his desperate thoughts of trying to tell himself to ignore Gerard and keep working.
It's so adorable when Frank is stuttering and you can really see the sexy smirk on Gerard's face.

You write so well and I really can't wait to read about Frank's second official meeting with Gerard. And it'll be really interesting to see what kind of guy Mikey's going to be in here. I'd just love it if he was just like Gerard, but something about the way the circus people talked about him makes me think he is more of the calm boy we usually see :cute:

Gorgeous update. Can't wait for more :arms:

Ps. More Gerard Way ABBA covers is very much appreciated. :yah

Like I feel like I'm there at the circus sorta sitting with 'em there. Can't wait till next chapter!! I hope we get to meet mikey way next :D

I'm really liking the start of this.
Mibba totally needs more original Frerards like this, and you are doing a great job with it so far. :arms:

I love how naive Frank was until he got the job as a cleaner.
Every since he went to that circus as a child he really believed that he could do anything, just like that, just because he really wanted to. It's amazing how set back and insecure one can suddenly get by having just one adversity, suddenly realizing that things might not be so easy.
But that naivety was still good, as it made him keep some faith in his heart and kept him from giving up.

This is so exciting and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the relationship between Frank and Gerard progresses. I just love Gerard's character. Just the thing he did with the silk rope thing was incredible and just- wow. And he's openly gay, which makes everything a lot easier - maybe, I don't know. Was that guy his boyfriend or a one-nighter? I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Anyway, if it is his boyfriend, I must say that it seems like a Bert McCracken, but I hope it isn't because that would be terribly cliché :tehe:

Since I'm pretty much just rambling now, I'm going to finish off this little comment with saying that I'm really excited about this and I can't wait to see where it leads to. you've done an amazing job so far, and I'm sure that it will just get better and better.

I love it how Frank was so hopeful; When the Ringleader told me I could do whatever I wanted as long as I put my mind to it?... Either way, I’ll be doing what I love, and that’s all that should matter, right?; and is now realizing maybe it won't be as easy as he thought it'd be. He's ignored by his parents, and he's matured because of that, yet he's still innocent. He said didn't care whether he lived on the streets, not really considering the money that could provide him enough food to live. He's bitter but hopeful, and expects a happy life far away from his parents.

Mum drinks because Dad’s never around and Dads never around because Mum drinks.
It's ironic, of course; shows how vicious cycles start, and then you're too far gone and there's no other way out. Hopeful or not, Frank needed to get away from that environment of careless people who had no time for him. Where to go to? The circus, of course. He was told magic exists there, and he wants that to be true. He longs to be able to play his music without someone telling him not to. Then there's the tiniest hint that maybe, just maybe, magic is not that close after all. I noticed that this place didn’t look much like the circus I’d been to ten years ago, but I suppose they’re not all the same.

And then there's the fact that Gerard isn't going to come easily in the story; at least not romantically involved with Frank. And whereas I love those two together, it's no fun when they just get together out of nowhereunless it's in a fucked up way (like Gerard molesting Frank) and after an unending amount of chapters they find out they actually love each other. Not in a cliché way; I hope you more or less have an idea what I'm talking about., because, apparently, Gerard is quite confident of himself. Do I dare say teasing, experienced? His cocky smirk and wink gave me that impression. It may have something to do with him wearing the same black legging type things as `the star´.

Going back to Frank, it seems like things won't really be the way he expected them to be. “This place gets awfully messy, and we don’t have enough people cleaning up. Start tomorrow,” he said wiping at his desk with the palm of his hand. And that's final; Frank can't just start off in the highest position in the circus, fucking performing. I love how you're making this take direction; growing wings till it flies. Now I'm picturing a flying book -face palm-

And I do believe Josie pwns. :file:
I love it when authors misspell things to show accents; “A’iight love?” “Well, it’s lucky that I’ve got a spare bunk in me trailer. That okay for you?” “I wouldn’ta offered if I didn’t wantcha to!”

I have the impression magic will come eventually, but not easily. Frank will first be proven that the world's not as nice as he would've expected it; bad things happen all the time and they'll disencourage you soon enough. But good things happen occasionally, and there's no need to lose faith. BUT, that's just my impression, anyways.

I really like this because it's so unique! I just had to read a book for a my Children's lit class that involved a boy that joined a circus (by accident). hated it and thought it was the worse children's book I'd ever read and to top it all off I hated the whole circus part. BUT THIS I LOVED. I really like how you describe everything, just enough to picture it and your head but not enough to go overboard and limit the imagaination.

    Wow.

I'm just...wow. Impressed. Really, really, really impressed. I love the whole concept of the story - circus/Frank's shitty home life/Frerard. Definitely makes me wonder what adventures await Frank in New York, if the circus has some other effect on Frank in New York at "Circo", how/when Gerard comes into the story...

    :tehe:

You should also be proud of yourself for finally convincing me to come out of my hermit-like existence on Mibba for the past like...two months or so. I've probably commented like three times over that period? And a really good story convinces me to leave a comment, and when I leave comments I leave damn long ones, which is why I don't comment after every story that I read...Yeah. So your story is definitely awesome because I'm commenting. Oh yes.

I very much enjoyed these first two chapters, even if they were only like prologues. I loved the fact that while Frank was six and at the circus, things didn't seem so bad between him and his parents, yet when he's sixteen things pretty much suck in his life all around, except for that dream and inspiration he got from the circus. Did I mention how...well, original that is? I don't think I've ever read anything that so much as mentions a circus, let alone uses it as a main part of the story. I think it's pretty much amazing. I remember going to a circus when I was like six and loving it, though it never convinced me to be an entertainer or performer (I'd much rather not communicate much with people at my job, haha).

I also enjoyed the letter that Frank wrote to his parents. Well, okay. Maybe not exactly the letter. But I loved how you broke it up and inserted things about Frank and what he was doing in between parts of the letter he was writing. It made things more interesting and I definitely would have skipped over most of the letter had you not done that, ha.

I must also point out the fact that I looooooovvvvveeeeeedddddd that you used French. I'm only in my second year of learning it in school (in the US) and I'm already the top of my class and I love it to death. I could vaguely understand the part you put in, but I could tell tell it was translated using a computer translator. Now, I'm not saying that I can translate things for you, because I'm not that good, but if you need a little help I do own a French-English dictionary and know basic-to-moderate French grammar, so if you want a little assistance feel free to PM me or something. ;]

French is really cool. I think it should come up again in the future. :tehe: Of course, you don't have to listen to me because I'm a silly reader, but still. :XD

A few mistakes I noticed on the summary, though, and I hope you don't mind me pointing them out:
The man smirked at the small boy in front of him, glancing over his head before placing a hand on the boys shoulder. “Do you believe in magic?" He asked as if it were a secret between the pair. Frank's eyes widened slightly and he nodded his head vigorously. “Good, because that is exactly what it was.

I don't think these mistakes were made in the actual chapter where it was taken from, so I'm pretty safe in saying that it was only the summary page. :shifty

Aaaaaaaand now I must go try and relieve the pressure in my head, because I'm sick on a Saturday and it's not fun. :cheese: Great story so far! I'm definitely looking forward to more. :cute:

I had these weird fantasies of joining the circus when I was little :tehe:
All honesty! I wanted to because it seemed so fun to be a gymnast. I'm undeniably inflexible, but a kid can dream, right? (Then I had a witch period -cough-Harry Potter-cough- but nobody wants to know that, anyways).

    Frank had always loved thunderstorms.
Sorry, I just really love them, too. Random and uninteresting fact indeed.

I really like where this is going. Frerards that aren't cliché are extremely rare these days, much to my disgrace. They make everything so... predictable. There even are amazing authors who don't have such captivating plots, but do have captivating words. You have both, so that's pretty awesome. :]

And this was perfect for the introduction. Just a little sneak-peak for what's to come, but not really telling us the crucial details that are bound to be revealed sometime.

I'm terrible at writing comments for stories that are just starting, but I'm sure I can do better when the next chapter's up. :] And I would love to tell you whether the French is right, but I wouldn't be able to tell.
