Closer - Comments

I think it's wonderful with the few words it has. It describes what she might be feeling without going into horrible detail that probably isn't needed.
I instantly understood everything- why she was feeling this way and why it would be horrible. You explained it so well in the first paragraph... the steps of Billie's music. (or fits might be a better word)

I love this so much.. a beautiful peace.
I wish that you'd write more often. You're officially one of my new favorite authors.
And I'm really skeptical about those sort of things.

The Way:

So, yeah. Basically loved everything else.

I believe that's the title of the chapter. This story's for all my incomplete drabbles, that's why it's "Everything's Incomplete". :mrgreen:

You expressed her emotion so well, an emptiness that kind of slowly, cruelly eats away at you when you least expect it.

The isolated months for touring where the two halves of the couple were on their own.
It had gotten to that period now. The isolated, heart-wrenching period that Adrienne had come to loathe.

She felt her heart thud softly in her heavy chest, and as soft as the beat was, she counted it. Every single time her heart beat in her chest, every moment in time that passed... she knew, it would bring her closer to Billie Joe.
Just a bit closer.

I really loved these parts, because it really showed that despite the fame and the wealth and everything else being married to a rock star brings, there's a downside. It's real, and it's not perfect, but it's the way things are.
