So yeah, I don't know if it's just me, but I'm still a little wary of Quinn. I think he might actually be being genuine to Mikey, but I feel there's a little Gerard rivalry thrown in there. “So no Gerard at this party then?” Quinn said It just seems a little odd to me that he'd mention Gerard at all. I could be completely wrong, but, hey, that's why I'm reading it XD Also, he seems to really like winking at Mikey. Maybe Frank has a bit of a challenge to overcome there. Or I'm just stabbing in the dark again.

There were a couple of lines I really loved. Quinn apologised, for a second time to Mikey, two more than he ever expected from anyone like Quinn.

And watching Mikey’s expression the whole time, reminding him of Frank completely, letting him briefly wonder who learnt it from who. This line seemed really interesting to me. Makes me wonder if Frank's more influenced than he comes across (he does sort of let his friends control his life), or if Quinn's desperate to be like Frank, to be 'king of the school' or whatever.

Finally managed to read the whole of this story up to date :) I've been meaning to for a while.

First of all, the thing I love most of all about the story is how real the characters are, especially for their ages, with the whole awkwardness, and desperation to fit in somewhere and be liked. You haven't made Mikey or Frank perfect either, which is good, because I hate it when characters don't have a single flaw. Like, Frank is this really nice guy who's king of the school for the right reasons, but you let it show that he's still vulnerable and wants that popularity just like everyone else in the school does. I also think that whilst everybody in the story sort of idolises Frank, and Mikey would love his confidence, he's still a bit of a pushover, and just lets his friends control his life pretty much.

And then there's Mikey. I adore his character. I think it's truely original. He's quiet and unpopular but as is the norm in stories I find, he's not depressed and doesn't get bullied, he just happens to be on the outside. To me it's as if he doesn't even want to be popular, he just kind of wants to know that if he had the opportunity (which he never has had before) he'd be able to have friends. And then suddenly he's making friends with the most popular guy in school. But you've written it so we know that if Frank wasn't the nice guy he was and still popular, Mikey wouldn't have bothered with him, making their friendship much more special :D

The whole horrible Gerard thing I really liked, and I'm kinda sad that he's grown out of that now. I'm sort of hoping he'll get jealous again as Frank and Mikey's relationship progresses. I don't know why... it's a bit strange but I liked it when Gerard was being a dick and Mikey sort of got revenge out of getting Frank's attention.

I love how you have the Frank/Mikey and Gerard/Mikey stories going together, but now the G/M one has slowed down I'm looking forward to more of Frank and Mikey :D The two seem pretty close now and it seems like they're both leaning towards other feelings.

Oh and bravo on not just getting the two to get together right at the beginning. Things like that really ruin stories sometimes. You've got fantastic pace that really lets the story unwind. The only little con-crit I have is sometimes you don't need to explain what the characters are thinking/feeling. As my English teacher always says, it's better to show than tell. I'm not saying you should stop doing that,because you provide really interesting insights into the characters and I love that, just maybe mix it up a bit. Just an idea :D

I know from your A/Ns that you seem to be struggling with updating often, which isn't a problem, just don't give up on this story. I really really like it.(Y)

Middle ground mikey?? lol yeah that'll happen. Next thing you know he'll be wearin shirts with "Mikey Fucking Way" on them lol. Great update, know I havent commented in a while so here I am! Lol

I like how Mikey is getting more comfortable around Frank.
I think his new found comfort has a lot to do with the way Gerard is now treating him.
