I love Matt's devotion to her! Like, he never watches reality shows but he makes an exception for her, I never used to watch these reality fast-track to stardom shows, but there were rumours all week that she's be making an appearance and perform her latest single. It shows that he really cares for her and makes the effort to do something that he doesn't want to, just so that he can see her for a little while.
His excitement is really amusing. I shuffled on the carpet in anticipation for the words. Britney Spears. He can't sit still, he can't wait to see her onscreen and he wants to see his idol. He's completely spellbound by her and he can't wait another moment. He needs to see her and is impatient. I have a feeling he'd rather skip the intro and just see her! :tehe:
I think it's sad how Matt feels he has to hide from Gavin. She is my secret love. He's scared of admitting that he really likes Britney, in case Gavin reacts in an odd way, and it makes me feel sorry for him because it's like he's living a lie when Gavin is around and he can't be his true Britney-loving self. :tehe:
I just wanted to give Matt a great big hug here. :tehe: I hardly sang along with her so I wouldn't taint her. He's worried that if he sings along he'll not be able to hear her as well and he only wants to hear her voice because it wouldn't be the same otherwise. It has to be Britney, and Britney only.
This just emphasises that Matt is living a lie. It wasn't until the front door clicked did I realise Gav was home. My hand flew forward and I hit the nearest button that would clear Britney from our screen. He's absolutely petrified of Gavin's reaction and he thinks that by hiding every trace of Britney away, he'll never suspect a thing. It's sad that he has to do this but I think that it's something that Matt's used to by now.
This made me feel all smushy. :tehe: No matter how much I loved Britney, she was always going to be a fantasy. Gavin was the real thing. It's obvious that despite Matt hides his love of Britney from Gav (or rather, tries to!), their love is very honest and they share something special between them. Their relationship seems to be a very strong one.
And then Gav got Matt tickets for Britney! I think that was a great way to end this! :tehe:
