I really loved the length of this, too. And the layout. The layout was really good. And it was clever how every sentence - apart from the last one - began with "they".
The opening was very effective. They don't have forever. I liked the fact that it was a one sentence opener, and it worked incredibly well with the mood you were trying to create. It went very well on its own. And the rest of the drabble was very well constructed, too. You brought across the relationship between the pair of them very well and the emotions you portrayed in this was amazing - you're a very versatile writer and I really enjoyed reading this.
