As for the ending to this, I tested up like a mofo when Christian told Addie he was her son. I think you ended this in the best way.

I'm so sorry about everything that happened to you over the year. I hope your Mom gets better and handles the chemo well. On the upside, I think you're a fantastic writer and shouldn't give it up. Okay... I have returned to a sane, not-as-shocked state of mind.
