Finally, finally I have re-read the entire story and caught up! Time for an epic comment as I read the latest installment of your masterpiece!

Aww, it’s cute how she’s woken up in a little panic as she realises she’s sleeping beside Brian. I must admit, I can’t say I blame her considering the rollercoaster that has been her interactions with him since the beginning. Honestly, if I was her, I wouldn’t be able to help feel like maybe it’s some sick, twisted joke that he’s playing… after all, it would be really hard to trust him when he says he has feelings for her.

It sucks that she can’t just bask in the happiness of the thought of him genuinely liking her as she likes him without her brain bringing up all the reasons they wouldn’t work. I understand where she’s coming from in regards to being worried about what people at school might say and how they’d treat her… but it’s sad that she can’t even let herself be happy in the moment. Poor girl

Bahahaha! Oh, Alex… you’re like a scared little bunny, aren’t you? Not a pleasant way for Brian to wake up, a kick to the shine. Especially since this time he didn’t actually deserve it… unlike previous chapters where I’ve wanted to do more to him than just kick him in the shins. I’m pretty sure at one stage I might have had his balls in a jar? Or was that a different story? Hahahaha.

I like that the group want to get breakfast to celebrate Alex’s birthday, but couldn’t they have waited like an hour?! These two have a conversation that they need to have… I need to know what they’re going to do about their feelings! Gah! Hahaha

Casadee is sweet for feeling bad for how the night before ended up, but I find it kind of funny she doesn’t know how wrong she was about Alex having a bad time. Hahaha.

I can’t say I disagree with Alex’s prediction that Casadee won’t like that she still has feelings for Brian. I just hope that when it comes time for her to find out that maybe something is going on, she can try to be supportive and not attempt to keep them apart. I mean, I know she’d be concerned about Alex getting hurt, but even if it didn’t work out… Alex needs to make her own mistakes—if in fact the relationship turned out to be one. Which I hope it won’t! I also hope this thing with Brian doesn’t come between Alex and Casadee’s friendship, because that would suck

Naww, I like that Brian picked her up and helped her into the back of the truck! I’m surprised no one felt the need to comment, though. Hahaha. But I’m glad for Alex’s sake, they didn’t… she’s awkward enough as it is. Not that I can blame her, I totally understand her being cautious. As they say, once bitten, twice shy.

Aww, poor Johnny! His heart is broken… Alex doesn’t return his love. Poor boy needs a new girl to drool over. Maybe one that isn’t as timid and won’t get scared of his advances. Hahaha.

I love that she was jealous of the flirty glances from the waitress. I would be too, even though at this point she doesn’t technically have a claim on him…it would still be bothersome. Back off, college girl! You know what our poor Alex has been through just to get to this point? Hell and back! Go make eyes at some other customer, you pancake harlot!

Poor Alex and her state of overwhelmness (not a word, but let’s just pretend it is!) with everything. If I was here, I’d desperately want the ability to pause everyone and everything around me, then I’d un-pause Brian and be like “Dude, what the hell?” Hahaha. Although I can’t imagine Alex saying ‘dude’… that’s just weird.

I love Johnny’s childishness in this story. Sometimes it’s easy to forget he’s younger than the others, but I love the way you portray him. He does funny little things like yelling that he’s going first before giving Alex her present… so cute. And then the way he flirts and is quite forward makes it seem like he’s trying hard to fit in with the older boys… although I can’t help but wonder if he’d handle it if a girl he hit on actually went for him. Hahaha.

Awww! His gift was so sweet and thoughtful! Wow, I’m so proud of little Johnny right now! I love that he got her a meaningful gift… but also put a bit of his “horny devil” side into it by adding coupons. Haha. Am I crazy to almost hope that somehow he ends up with Alex in the end?

Julia! You made Jimmy make me all teary! Seriously, that’s just so sweet and thoughtful the gift that he gave her. It’s adorable and I love that he and the others are truly accepting her into their little group. It’s so nice to see them making a real effort to try and make up for the way they’ve treated her in the past and they really want to make her feel comfortable with them. Naww!

Casadee is so protective of Alex. I know she’s inexperienced and younger than most of them, but I hope she learns to loosen up a bit. I mean, Alex is slowly starting to get to know these guys better and better as the days go by and she seems to be handling their playful flirting and whatnot better than she did. So maybe Casadee needs to try and take a breath and just let Alex deal with it… I’m sure she’d say if she was uncomfortable. Casadee needs to remember to be her friend, not her mum.

Aww, Matt! Aren’t you just the cutest one of all?! I wanna pinch his cheeks so bad right now. The ones on his face I mean… well, maybe the other ones too. May as well make it worthwhile, right? Hahahaha.

Man, I want friends like these guys! I love Casadee and Zacky’s gift and the cards… they were hilarious and cute at the same time! Gah! I never get good birthday presents… pfft, I rarely get presents. Rob’s not so good at shopping on his own. Haha. I’m jealous of fictional characters… my life has hit a new low. Hahahaha.

Naww, Brian wants to go to the concert too! Double date anyone? Hahahaha.

The rest of breakfast carried on with Johnny whining about Zacky and Jimmy stealing bites of his sausage…

I have such a dirty mind… I didn’t even read the rest of the sentence, I just started literally laughing out loud when I read that much of it. Bahahahahaha!

Sometimes Alex just blows me away with how mature she is for her age. I mean, her proposal that her and Brian just try to get to know each other better and sort of kind of date in secret until they know what they want from each other is seriously the best thing for them right now. And for someone that is so inexperienced, it’s really interesting that she’s able to be so logical and practical about the situation, instead of just giving into the crush she’s had on him for so long. I get that she’s protecting herself, which makes sense, but still… she’s very strong to be able to decide to just take things slow and see what happens with him.

Granted, she kissed him… but there was no point in their conversation where they said they couldn’t
keep doing that. Hahaha.

I hope that things work out for them. I know they’re completely different, but they don’t say opposites attract for nothing. They have such great chemistry… when Brian isn’t being a douche. So I really look forward to seeing them progress into a proper couple, hopefully! Then dealing with their friends reactions… not to mention everyone at school… well, that’s gonna be a humdinger!

Just saying, you should write. Now. Go. I need more… more!

Oh sweet baby Jesus you are back! I am squealing here! The update was absolutely wonderful! You could take five years to update and I'd still be right here waiting. (Please don't take 5 years...)

As the others have said so far… I’m so glad you’re not giving up on this story! It’s an amazing story – one of the first I ever read on Mibba many moons ago. After having a really crappy day, this update really lifted my spirits! So, thank you!

Y’know, for most of this chapter, I didn’t think Brian and Alex were going to talk about the night before. I think I would have lost it if they fell into old habits and Brian started being a dick to her again – even if it was to keep up appearances!

I think everyone’s gifts were thoughtful – very thoughtful, yet Brian’s gift still came in first place. I’m looking forward to seeing how the concert goes with the four of them. I think Brian will be protective of Alex, but I wonder if they’ll keep their feelings under wraps or not.

Matt’s affection to Alex intrigues me. Brian doesn’t do jealousy well… Jimmy seems to (so far) be the only one clued in to it. I wonder if he’ll snap and make it even more obvious that he likes her more than he’s let on.

I’m glad they are keeping it quiet. God knows, Casadee would be all over his shit if she found out about it. But, I think she’ll go even more nuts when she eventually does find out. I think they need to sort out their feelings.

I wonder if – in the end, the cards will turn. I wonder if her fear and determination to remain anonymous is going to be the road block to their relationship, rather than Brian’s attitude as it was before.

I don’t know what you plan for the rest of this story. And, I really like that it’s not straight forward – it’s got spark and it’s unique. It always has been. And I can’t wait to find out!

so I totally just re-read this story because I had forgotten so much about it- not that I minded reading it again since it's soooo good so happy that you updated and that we finally got the 'day-after-the-kiss-and-brians-little-confession' loved the gifts she got from the others- esp. the necklace from matt that was sooooooooooo sweet! aawe, alex and bri keeping it a secret to try and work out what they want.. well i hope that he wont f*ck it up.. because in that case- if he does- i really hope matt will come and just knock her off her feet with his cute charm
