holy wow Alice, that was so good!
I never thought about it from that point of view, that's so clever.
It was just brilliant, the was you wrote it, and the ending was just perfect.
I loved every second of it!
You go and gush over my little stories like you don't have anything up your sleeves and all of sudden these gems just happen to get posted to your profile.
You have this way of perfectly setting up the story and the reader and making everything so alive. I don't know if it's just with this movie but it seems like once you get a hint of inspiration, you can flow on forever pouring out these wonderful drabbles.
Anyways, back to this specific story. It's very psychological. You have this in-depth look into the other mother - why she does what she does. It's daunting but towards the end, her actions are almost completely justified. And then there's that little twist where she tries and pulls the reader back in, and it's still quite tempting but resistible. Then those last words from her are haunting - she has plenty of ways to keep herself going.
Great work, Alice. You really do have something in you.
