  • Flawless.

    Everything about this chapter was flawless. I honestly need a moment to just compose myself, and pick myself of the ground. The end just had me melting. Okay let’s take this from the start. She was cuddling with Pickles. Initially I thought it was Mike, even that doesn’t make much sense, but yeah. I thought it was Mike and I was like this girl has some serious balls. Cuddling with the man you just ripped up into shreds. But fortunately that wasn’t the case.

    I enjoyed the scene where they walk out on everyone sleeping, especially these little bits:

    “Ryane was asleep on the floor, hogging 80% of the blankets in my house like an awkwardly muscular burrito.”

    And

    “[...]the lazy boy occupied by Logan, who was covered in three or four sweatshirts for warmth.”

    Adorable I tell you. I could totally imagine the whole scene very vividly.

    Okay, now let’s skip ahead the end. Dany. What a fucking perfect human being. I love that the guy with all this money would give her something that has little monetary value but a shit load of sentimental value. I’m a sucker for sentimental gifts, and Dany was spot on with this one. The poolside flashback was amazing. That whole section about how the picture came about was just perfect.

    “ Somewhere between all of the flailing and Dany's laughing, Devin snapped a picture. I only had my hands free, just enough to brace myself by curling around the back of his neck. He had lifted me up, and though my eyes were lightly shut in a full-faced grin, it was the way he was looking down at me, that smile that lingers just after a laughing fit perched on his usually concentrated lips. It had touched his eyes in such as way that gave his pale blue hues a deeper, brighter shine. This was not the Dany that hurt; not the sleepless or depressed Dany, not the cold or the fearful, but the one that made me smile a thousand times over, the one that wasn't afraid to smile or laugh, the one that I was placing one hell of a bet on.”

    Excuse me while I swoon.

    Oh Anna, forgive him.

  • Since I haven't talked to you in what feels like forever, I had no idea an update was coming and I was oh sooo happy to get the email notification!! I had like, a brief second of "Oh my god she's in a bed with Dany" before it turned into "Oh it's just Vlasic. Booooo." I knew her being in bed with Dany made zero sense, but you can't blame a girl for hoping!! But yeah, that was adorable, him cuddling up to her in his sleep. I love boys, the big babies they really are when they pretend to be tough guys.

    The bit about Douglas Murray taking over the couch had me giggling, by the way. ANYWAY.

    I swear I'm about to copy+paste the entire scene of Anna finding the book/photo album. Dany came through on really finding something that wasn't materialistic but meant the world. What a fucking man. The scene from the swimming pool was perfect and amazing and swoon-inducing. That gift. WHY did you cut it off there? I need to know her reaction to everything! This comment was meant to be structured and then I read the cute and now I can't even form coherent thoughts. What. the. fuck?

    Somewhere between all of the flailing and Dany's laughing, Devin snapped a picture. I only had my hands free, just enough to brace myself by curling around the back of his neck. He had lifted me up, and though my eyes were lightly shut in a full-faced grin, it was the way he was looking down at me, that smile that lingers just after a laughing fit perched on his usually concentrated lips. Utter motherfucking perfection.

    I just cannot wait for more, Rina! I'm going to flail all over you in AIM in hopes of inspiring to write more and more and more and quickly. Hahaha. Thanks for posting this amazing chapter! <3

  • well, I think he's done a part to redeem himself
    but it's not enough, at least I hope that Anna won't jump back to him just because of this
    it's a good start but there's A LOT more the has to make up for, actually there's a lot of stuff you can't possibly make up for... :S

    great chapter! glad to have you back ;)

  • Just watched a Dany Heatley post-game interview and seriously all I could think about is wanting this story updated. So... please?

  • Wow. This story is beyond amazing. You have me hooked!

    I have never felt so many emotions at once!

  • THEY TALKED! ASDFGHJKL;

    That was amazing, and heart wrenching at the same time. There was so much left unsaid between them, but it was like they understood the words left unspoken. Anna was comparing his actions to the only ones she knew, and it was like she was just waiting for him to freak out on her. The tension was thick, and I loved the walk on egg shells dialog that they had going on. I think Anna leaving at the end was probably the best thing in that situation. I want to see Dany step up his game now, and be the one to make the next move, because let's face it, Anna is always the one who makes the first move.

    Wonderfully done. I can't wait for the next update! <3

  • YAY. I like that their relationship is progressing and all that good stuff (; This is amazing, I can't wait to read more!

  • afoahsd;oihfodhf Okay I've already verbalized some of this on AIM, but oh my gosh, DEMISE was emotionally draining and heartbreaking. The fact that it started off so lighthearted was perfectly set up, especially the whole doings with Logan and the such. Then as it dwindled down to just one simple thing, one simple box and an injury before hand, and her heartbreaking conversation with Mike. I feel more apathy on Mike's part, that he was used for an emotional released while I believe somewhere in Anna's subconcious she was getting back at Dany. However, I like that she didn't forgive so easily, even though Dany's practically begging her with his husky eyes. She's a strong women, and now Dany knows how it feels to be in her position, and it'll take a lot more than a simple "I'm so sorry" to fix everything.

  • For a short chapter, it sure packed a punch! I love that Anna said everything that needed to be said before she left. I think he needed to hear what he had done to her, though he knew to a degree. He needs to let those words sink in for a while, and yeah, though I desperately want to reach through my computer screen and shove them together, I love that Anna left.

    And while my body fought with me to tell him that I still loved him, to tell him that I always had, I knew full well that coming up on three thirty after such an emotionally disturbing night was not the time or place. Perhaps I knew that there would be a next time that I spoke to him. I flailed so bad. There will be a next time, yeah, and I love that Anna recognized that a late night, tired and dazed conversation and confession is definitely not what they need!!

    I cannot wait for the next encounter and chapter!! Perfect as always. Thank you for updating! <3

  • asdfghjkl;

    I cant even be mad at you because I'm so excited that you updated and that the moment of truth is so so near. It's been so long since Anna and Dany have interacted and I just want it to happen. I can't even begin to imagine how you're going to have it play out, but I trust you completely to write something that will just blow me out of the water, whether the outcome is good or bad. You have a magnificent way with words. I truly hope that you update soon because this wait might just kill me. :P
