Just finished reading this again. It's a wonderful piece of writing and certainly has stood the test of time. Thank you for sharing such a beautifully written story. I hope you never give up writing.

That was a beautiful story. I felt sick to my stomach when he cheated on her, but in the end, I was rooting for them. Loved it!

Better late than never, I'd like to think that authors like to know that their works are appreciated down the line, not just at the time of publishing. This was marvelous!

The epilogue was perfect - it tied up a lot of loose ends and showed that the future, while tinged with sadness, was bright for Mel and Jonny. Maybe it proved that arranged marriages work - although I like to think it proved that "Mother knows best!"

I loved your writing - your attention to historical details - and the fact you updated on a regular basis. It allowed the reader to become attached to the characters and made the story very easy to follow.

I cant wait for you to start another one - I would love to see you tackle a Sid story. I am sure you could do it justice!

Amazing ending to an amazing story. You never cease to amaze me with what you come up with. Either I'm just really emotional or I still have some of my own grieving left to get through, but I cried reading the part about Nicolette's funeral. And I cried even harder when Jon brought Lord Stanley to her gravesite. That was just so sweet of him to do.

I honestly cannot wait to read what stories you have next. :)

When Jon called her Mrs. Toews, it was just so precious, I swear I teared up. C'est parfait! The TJ bit was nice too. The keeping Jonny from growing old thing struck a chord. The wedding was beautiful. You did an amazing job. :)
