For some reason I thought of it as sad, but not creepy, dunno why! I do understand why it can seem so for some people. It was just weird that here was the only place where it was called that way.
Insane yeah, that for sure. Gerard was insane, and Frank -I guess- too in love and desperate, and he trusted Gerard too much. I'd gotten this idea while listening to that song but had never wanted to write it because it's not my thing and I didn't think I could. But a couple of people who said would write it never did, so I decided to try. Since I don't like stories when they die and even less when the story ends with them dying, I had to add some fantasy (or not...maybe reincarnations exists, who knows?) and give the story a happier and hopeful ending. I'm a pansy. :P I liked how the fic came out in the end, though.
And I think that it didn't seem creepy to you because you knew what was going to happen, and also just because you are the writer and in control while I, as the reader, was merely being dragged into this dark scene not knowing what was going to happen and having no control whatsoever and watching in horror while Frankie and Gee prepared to kill themselves.
