I just read 'Accidents Happen' and 'Tragic Romance' both and I absolutely loved both of them! Very well written!

Challenge: I grew up spending every summer in Orange County. That's where all of my dads family lives. I met Jimmy for the first time in 2000 out there. I was only 14, but my cousin Chris grew up with all of them. He took me to see them for the first time and I fell in love with their music immediately. I'll always remember talking to them after that show. I remember how nice they all were. I can truly say that they're all still just as nice as they were that day. But I remember talking to my cousin and Jimmy after that show and just laughing so hard. He had the most hilariously amazing ways of telling stories. It's been said that there will never be anyone in this world quite like Jimmy, and I can honestly say that I believe that. He was a real one of a kind man.

Why'd it have to end! it was awesome!! :D
Challenge: I've listened to Avenged for about 4 years now, and they have been my favourite band for about 2 1/2, nearly 3 years. When i found out Jimmy died (29th dec.) I was with my Best friend, on my birthday, just looking around the internet and trying to get her to admit how amazing their music is. I was showing her videos of the members, one by one, on Youtube and when i typed in "The Rev" it came up "RIP James "The Rev" Sullivan." i didn't know if it was a sick joke, made up by a hater or if it was for real, so i went on the official band site and found out the truth... I didn't know what to say, what to do all i could mutter was "no..not jimmy..." i started crying a few minutes after. I felt so horrid for what i was doing! Here i was, having the time of my life, when only a few hours before, one of my heroes had been taken away from us.
I regret not seeing him when i had the chance in 2008, but i at least have gotten tickets to see them in Glasgow in October. I'll be there with my banner, reading "Glasgow loves Jimmy!" xxx

The ending was amazing, and I'm soo glad that there was something really good waiting for me when I got home from Barcelona.
    I absolutely love this story!!

With Avenged Sevenfold, I had their album copied way before the Rev died, way before Christmas. But to me it was a CD with amazing songs on, and I had no idea about the band behind it. When Jimmy died, it actually brought me closer to the band, and I did cry even though I didn't know him. And now, they've made it to my second favourite band, and it sad to say it was because Jimmy died, but even if he never did die, I may have came closer to them still.

A7X are coming to the UK, and I'm hoping to get tickets, because it'll be a way to get close to Jimmy, even though that'll be impossible in real life.

foREVer! Hmm , a7x , I think they've affected me by keeping me in my head space. I am a little crazy at times, but when I need to calm down and just listen to music while I sit on the bus or go for walks in the night. They've really helped me keep my sanity and I couldn't really ask them for anything more as a fan. (:

By the way, I've been keeping up with this story since Accidents Happen's first chapter, I am so happy you wrote both of these, and I'm grateful for the reason behind all of your writing. As sad as his passing was, though this story is not real, it came from it. So sometimes, when people leave us, they also leave behind some gift's of their own, as you have said. <3

    I absolutely LOVE your story!!!
Challenge: I've been in love with A7x for 9 months (Short time right???). But the band's music changed my whole way of thinking towards music. When I hear one of there songs I actually feel the emotion in it and it brings me a lot of happiness. When I heard of the Rev's death I was so upset that I'm still crying over it. The band had even inspired me to play the guitar and drums (seeing as I can't scream after a rollercoaster accident...lol (: ). The Rev will always be in everyone's hearts.

    I loved your story! :)
Challenge: I've been a devoted fan of a7x for over 6 yrs. They have gotten me through some tough times. I felt like crap when I found out the Rev died. Friends were wishing me happy birthday when he passed and I didn't find out til the morning after. I felt guilty that I was celebrating when something terrible just happened.
But I should've been celebrating. Our dear Rev gets his little piece of heaven afterall. My boyfriend told me he's up there teaching God how to play drums lol :)

Challenge: Jimmy will always have a special place in my heart because, through watching all his crazy antics, I learned its okay to be wild and more importantly, who you want to be, not someone else. I found Avenged when I was in a serious depressed downward spiral and I felt like I couldn't get a break. It was their music that brought me back up and showed me that I can get everything I want and I can do it my own way... even if that means kicking and screaming while others try to hold me back.

    loved this story!
challenge: my brother was the one to show me to avenged when i was in fifth grade. nobody i knew listened to that kind of music but my first memories of listening to it were me and my brother, who im extremely close with, driving around in his truck listening to waking the fallen. they became my favorite band from that day on. i remember annoying my mom and sister with it cause i listened to it 24-7 :) then when i got my license i inherited the same truck my brother had five years before and the first thing i listened to was the waking the fallen cd. that was two months before his death.
i still remember that night i found out. i was hangin with a friend who wasnt into them and i just cried and she stared at me not knowin wat to do. then next day i took two of my best friends and drove around the desert blasting all avenged songs. and still to this day if something truely reminds me of him i start crying. he really will be foREVer missed.

    Loved the story =]

I have loved Avenged for 8 years. Their music was something unlike music out there at the time. It still is.
But around the time I found out about them, I was going through a tough time. I had depression and couldn't find a way to let out my sadness besides cutting. Every single day. But once I started listening to them more and more, I slowly stopped cutting and just listened to their music instead whenever I was upset, pissed off, depressed, I would just play their music and I would be fine.
They saved my life. I don't care if people think I am crazy, they did. If I didn't listen to them when I did, I don't think I would be here.
So when Jimmy passed away, it felt like I lost a family member. It broke me into pieces.

    Amazing work :)

As for your challenge, I had discovered Avenged right after the Rev had passed, so what had happened didn't have the same impact it did as with other loyal and devoted fans. I was shocked by the news; I couldn't believe it. This amazing band that I had just found out about had had one of its awesome members pass. I couldn't really breathe. Because you see, I live in Australia, a pretty isolated country. I was hoping that Avenged would come over here and have some concerts. Then I had learnt about the Rev's past experiences, and it surprised me he could still be so happy after all that shit had happened to him. So I guess, the Rev still inspires me to this day, because whenever I think, "Oh, my life sucks." I think of the Rev, and how he'd be so happy even with all he'd been through.

Even if this does sound cheesy, it's true; I guess the Rev saved my life.

He's probably all hyper in heaven. I'd certainly love to meet him one day.

Fantastic story. :) They help me get through all of my rough patches. Whenever I'm mad or just upset and I don't feel like talking to anyone I put on A7X and it's like I was never upset in the first place. Their music works wonders on all people that listen to it. I wished I would've gotten to meet them before The Rev passed. But it's okay, we'll all meet him someday. :)

I love the story and the ending of it. And as for your challenge. I met the band in 2006 when I was still in high school in San Diego. I was really depressed of a really huge tragedy in my life. My friends wanted me to get out and try to just have fun. I was in the bathroom at the venue crying, and I was walking out not paying attention to where I was going and bumped into the Rev and Syn. And the rev asked me why I was so sad and I told him and he hugged me and said I would be okay. And I did, I stopped crying and went to my friends and had fun. It was the best night of my life, and I have always been so greatful to the rev for what he did. so yeah thanks for the story I loved it. Can't wait to read your next one.
