Tara's a bitch. Grrrr. I very much dislike her. Damn, I hope Alana toughens up. Ooooh, maybe she could hit her back! YES! Thatt would be totally awesome and epic and epic and really good! Yes, double Epic because I love Epic. Keep up the Epic-ness. (Yes, I know this story really doesn't fit the meaning of Epic, but Epic it such a cool word, I will twist it's meaning until it suits the story)
“Meow” my cat greeted me Freaking EPIC, that ^^^ Okay, right. So, this is a lovely story. I can tell from the first 2 chapters. If it goes downhill from there, I am utterly clueless about it because I am so in love with this right now. It's amazing, really. And the layout... It's aweeeesome. Seriously. Awe-some. Lol, I'm a douche. Oh well. Keep writing! PleasE!!!!
I like that the relationship between Vivian and Alana is really nicely done; like how slow it is. I wouldn't want the main character to run away from an abusive relationship, only to jump in the bed of another woman. I also like the back story between Alana and Tara. That being said, I think the abusive relationship feels a tad unrealistic-- the whole knife-cutting incident felt like a jump for the character and I didn't feel it worked. The reasons victims stay with their abusers is, besides that feeling of attachment and love for memories past, they are able to explain away every fight, saying that it was both person's fault. Perfect example of this-- Steven King's Cassie, and the relationship between Billy and his girlfriend. I have one more bone to pick-- Alana feels like a piece of cardboard. A very kind, pretty piece of cardboard, but she seems to sit around and giggle and blush and act like a sad little victim without having any depth of character. Why did she become a nurse, who were her parents, is she still a soccer jock? Adding things like this to her character will make her more well-rounded. An all in all good job, keep writing and being awesome. ~Meagan
I feel so bad for Alana ): I really want things to work out for her.... But this was a nice chapter! I'm glad Vivian got to comfort her for at least a little while. ♥
