Sweet & Low - Comments

  • Aww, this story is great, and I'm so happy that she chose Pat because he was there for her through everything and he doesn't get nearly as much love as he deserves. Garrett let his emotions get the best of him too much so that he wasn't as dependable. Good character though. Loved this story though; could definitely relate here.

  • told you i'd reread it!

I'm practically choked up from all this beautiful glory, I swear, Katie. I love this and I miss it.

Looking back, I still choose Garrett though. His character is a little more strong than Pat's, who was very supportive as well. But Garrett, to me, was a bit tougher and that's what she needed.
Although Pat is super necessary. He kind of does strike me as the third wheel character, you know? But he's the one who started the whole shabang and deserves so much credit and love.

  • This, by definite, is the most inspiring, genuine, heart-breaking, tear-catching, lovely story that I have read. It's amazing that by at the end of the story, I'm not saying 'oh damn they shouldn't have ended it yet' but, with this, it's perfect. At the end, Daisy-Lou's happy, genuinely happy, and it just makes me so happy that she is! :D
Well done, this is just absolutely the best story ever. :]

  • I can't believe it's over. Just... ahsljaihaijk. I love this story so freaking much. Everything you wrote was utterly amazing, and nothing you ever added disappointed me. This story started out as being simply intriguing but turned into one of my favourite stories on this site <3

I have a question. Did you get the name Daisy from the song Daisy? Because I was listening to it the other day and I connected the dots, haha. Took me a while.

Anyway, the ending was incredible. What I love most about this story is that it's not so much about romance, but instead about friendship. There aren't enough stories like that, because everyone feels the need to add drama and romance to everything in order to make it likeable. I really like that you didn't. There were what... less than five kisses in this story in total, and it is still absolutely amazing.

  • Awh, this was such a great story.
I'm sad to see it over, but I'm glad it had such a happy ending.

  • I loved both endings and I think it was a great idea for you to post both endings, that way it's a win-win for all :3

  • I'm sad it's over but I love how it ended. It ended nicely, with everything coming together and no questions left unanswered. I loved reading this story

  • Too cute.

What else is there to say?

You rounded this into such a wonderful tale, and you didn't leave anything out. Everything worked out the way it should have, and Daisy's finally going to have a bright future with friends and family who care about her.

    So beautiful and well-written. :)

  • EPIC SADNESS

Dude I was totally subscribed to this story, and I read till like chapter fourteen.

Then, I WASN'T GETTING ANY NOTIFICATIONS.

Dear god all this time you've been updating and I didn't know.

    How depressing...

Well, it was incredibly AWESOME anyways.

As you can tell I've had sugar, and its not even noon.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate for breaky bitch :D

How are you anyways, haven't talked to you in like.....

I'm to lazy to count but it was back when Skin & Bones came out for the First time.

    Long time back, holy bajesus.

Talk to you later!! Off to read your other stories that I've apparently missed.

    *wanders off*

  • I hate to say it,but...you shocked me,really. I always kinda wanted her and Garrette to be together, and I was quiet content with the first ending of the story. But, when I read the alternative ending.. I just fell in love with Pat! :D
Their just soo adorable together! I'm not really sure what exactly to expect from the epilogue.. so I'll just have to wait and see :P Well done, by the way!

  • Aw, that was cute. I love how both endings were tied up using things that only daisy/Garrett and daisy/pat know about/love/have experienced. If that makes sense.
I have no idea what to expect from the epilogue now that there are two endings
    February 12th, 2011 at 05:50am
  • YOU ARE AMAZING. I AM SO GLAD YOU WROTE TWO ENDINGS! Now I don't need to be sad, haha.

I've had so much catching up to do, and I've missed so much! The court case went really well, and I'm so happy that her mother's back. I was slightly worried that her mum would want her to live with her again, but I'm really glad that it turned out how it did. You've done such an amazing job of writing this, especially considering the fact that you did it in less than a month. Bravo <3

And how amazing am I? I guessed that ending. Well, mine was a bit more complicated, but still. I knew Pat would give her up, because that's the way he is. Besides, even though I love them equally I think that she was more suited for Garrett.

I literally think that I'm going to cry when this is over. This has been my favourite story for such a long time, and it's going to be over. You NEED to write another Patty story. No one writes them, and those that do aren't as good a writer as you are. xD

And oh my God... you have 12 pages of comments. HOLY SHIZ. I can only dream of getting that many for YBtR... sigh. But you've deserved every comment, so well done (:

  • Aw, I love both endings. They were adorable.
Even though I've been Team Pat this whole way, and it kills me to say this, I think Daisy and Garrett were a better match.

    ugh you justdkfandkfd fjdafjd.....mgdpfdhf
    Okay, first ending-
I'm so glad you added that piece about her and her mother, that meant a lot to them and to your readers. Because seeing her in the courtroom wasn't the best thing to notice by any means....and i'm glad she didn't just go back to her mom or anything, because she's still not well enough to have daisy back with her you know?
I love garrett. I love garrett. i love garrett.

Second version...ugh you put it so well. I felt you put in more detail of them building a relationship rather than your last piece with Garrett. which isn't necessarily bad, just totally different. because i was expecting something very similar- and it wasnt! haha
ugh, midnight swinging with a cute, sweet boy. seriously. you make me dream so much, katie!! :3

Anyways.... gosh. I've pretty much commented on every chapter so I think i've been well in expressing everythingn I've felt in this story you know? It was so well written with everything elaborated how you did it....the idea, the details, the individual characters. Katie this was beautiful art!
Thanks so much for all of this :3

  • I was grinning the entire time I read this chapter. Pat really is my favorite from the band, and I'm happy I got the ending I wanted. Haha

    I'm selfish. :)

  • Excitedddd :D In a way, I'm kind of happy there's two endings, that way I won't have to chose who I like better... Can't wait for the epilogue though! :P
