  • I love it! It was very beautifully written.
    Opinions?
You say in I believe about the 7th paragraph 'stop and have a chat' twice.
It's something minor, but it caught my eye. Maybe a change of words?

  • Oh my gosh. <3
I loved this so much, Lili.
It is completely original, entirely unique.
I think it turned out beautifully as well, so I really hope you get an A!
I seriously can't get over how absorbing that story was.
From the second I started reading,
I just wanted to keep going anf going and going,
because I felt that there was this huge secret lurking underneath,
like Christopher Lee wasn't exactly what he seemed.

The point of view this was narrated in was exquisite.
I really loved the way it tied every element together,
and allowed the words to flow so steadily along.
I think a lot of people have great difficulty making it past
the traditional aspects of first person, so reading a story
written in this format was very refreshing,
but it also allowed for your true talents of an author to shine. <3
You pulled it off magnificiently, Lili!

    this was so brilliant.

Best surprise ever, just saying. :D

I found the character of Christopher to be entirely facinating.
The fact that you managed to characterize him so perfectly,
to capture his being to entirely through the eyes of another
character--well, I am just fucking stunned.
I think this line was one of my very favorites:

"And because his argument makes so much sense, I would normally be quick to believe him, but this is one of those times where you know someone is lying with no evil intent. He wants to ease the guilt eating him from the inside out, haunting his every thought once he’s alone, because lately, Christopher Lee lacks that cliché yet amazing sparkle in his eye when he is talking about his Russian beauty. It has slowly been decreasing in its strength. That sparkle that makes every girls heart melt is still there, but it no longer shines as bright."

YES, I did have to quote that entire paragraph,
because you managed to capture perfectly the essence of
every bit of pain Christopher was dealing with over his
    long distance relationship so perfectly.
It's always very tough to deal with,
but some people are able to take it better than others, I think.

"Miraculously, he never finds the time to go job hunting, but he always finds time to walk around town aimlessly for hours, striking up a conversation with every person who crosses his path. It’s hard to not stop and chat when a man like him has that aura about him that welcomes you to do so.

    Wow Lili. <3
    Just wow.
I can picture him so perfectly,
beautiful hair swept up with the wind,
brilliant, carefree grin plastered across his face as
he talks to everyone that has gathered around him.
The way you write about him,
it makes me think of that guy at school,
who is so insanely beautiful and popular that you want to hate him,
but it is completely impossible to do so because he is also
    do damn genuine and nice.
I just can't get over how amazing the description was within this.
It was hard watching him deal with all that pain,
    the pain of realizing that,
no matter how perfeect he might seem,
his relationship would eventually fall apart.

    And then...Aaron.
Well that just turned everything around now, didn't it?
He became Christopher's new Russian Beauty.
The one he started to talk about towards the end of the story, right?
Aaron came along, and Christopher found a way to love again.
He found his new Russian Beauty--but no one expected
that he would actually be talking about Aaron. (:
I really hope I'm right or I will serioudly embarrass myself,
and then have to go and jumo off of a cliff or something. :s

    But, ugh.
I thought that was too adorable.
    This line, oh my god.

"Soon enough, Christopher Lee started telling us stories about his Russian lover again, though he seemed to write to her less and less. Suspiciously enough, he stopped talking about her around Aaron too. It’s as if he brought her royal mysteriousness back into our lives to keep us happy, to satisfy our need for a new story and his need to continue his storytelling more than anything else. He even goes as far as to continue to promise us that he will save up and go visit her in Russia, though there is always a new excuse, because every time Aaron walks into the room, it seems as if Christopher Lee’s lover had never existed."

    What a beautifully phrased,
    perfectly adorable,
inspring, and heart warming way to end this amazing story. (:

It made me smile knowing that Christopher Lee
was finally able to find a way to become happy again,
and that Aaron was able to be that reason.

I thought this was absolutely perfect, Lili.
It made me smile so much,
and you wrote it so beautifully my heart almost broke. (:
I really think you deserve like ten million A plus marks,
and I hope you get them!

    This was stunning and brilliant.

    Best surprise ever. <3
