  • That was adorable! I love grumpy Frank! He's so cute! It was so perfect! It was very different from a lot of what I've read. HippieFrank is so cute and I can totally see him being like that. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ring idea. it's adorable. :D

  • Holy shit, Adrienne! I honestly don’t know where to start; first, I apologize for taking forever and a year to finally read this story. I’m glad I waited for the right moment though this was purely genius. The way you wrote this was beautiful and realistic in many ways. The relationship between Frank and Gerard was too adorable; you represented the good and bad through their actions and thoughts. I loved how informative Frank was about the environment and how everything came full circle when Gerard was talking about Frank’s ways and lifestyle. I couldn’t see how Gerard could put up with Frank for five years, it would have drove me mad, but Gerard pulled it through all for love and it just makes you realized the things people would do for love or a person they really care about. I loved that aspect the most it was innocent like. Frank and Gerard have a bond that I can’t necessarily put into words, but they made my heart melt with their childish ways. My favorite part would have to have been when Frank gave Gee the rings. The inside joke between them was cute even though your readers didn’t quite understand, but it made it even more precious to read I think. You are awesome at writing and your creative process is something to die for. You’re just beautiful and I’m jealous, Adrienne. I’m going to subscribe even though I know this is it, but I want to have this saved just in case I want to read something fabulous. Good job, dear :)

Out of the entire story, this was my favorite line:

“….Gerard touches his forehead and tucks the hair back out of the way for him, starting to feel that sort of warm feeling of love and guilt again.”

    And my favorite paragraph:

“If Gerard sat through silent treatments and periods of absolutely no sex, that lasted days on end because he lied to Frank's face about quitting smoking, then snuck out onto the apartment balcony at night for a secret smoke after he thought Frank had gone to bed, Gerard can surely wait for Frank to look at him again. And he would gladly wait for hours.”

  • Oh, Jesus, I think this is probably the cutest thing on earth. :'] I can almost, ALMOST forgive you for the unforgivable deletion of Choke because even though this isn't black humor, it still has that completely refreshing, original, human characterization that you are absolutely the master of. I'm so jealous of the way you can depict people, with all their good qualities and all flaws, just through the way you write their thoughts and through the smallest snippets of events or habits, etc. I honestly laughed my whole way through this with a little bittersweetness and an air of utter delight. I really felt like I was getting a glimpse into a real relationship, and honestly, both of them annoyed me. lmfao but I felt the way I would feel if they were my friends (and the way they felt about each other), that despite their little flaws and the things that make them annoying, they're also incredibly endearing and I would have been missing something if I hadn't dropped in on this perfect, very telling segment of their lives. :] you are fabulously talented; it's incredible! write more. thank you :3
