Holy crap! I love this so much! Like I love and hate how this is a one shot because I want to know so much more about them! You kept everything so secretive, and even though I’m dying to know more, I loved that about it. It lets my imagination wander and I can decide what happened between them without getting told. This was so good, you are a fantastic writer.

Alright so, apparently this is about a band? Maybe? I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I do like the way you wrote this, however. Even though I didn't know the whole story behind the characters I was able to appreciate this anyway.

It's a dynamic type thing that totally makes me want to attempt to write something as good. Practice makes perfect I guess.

Ugh, if you were to tell me that this actually happened I wouldn't hesitate to believe you in the slightest. As others have said, you get both of them spot on. I mean, it's almost unnerving but utterly tantilizing at the same time. It makes me wonder if Ryan is regreting leaving now, or feeling defeated. I'd think so, because I personally find Vices & Virtues way better than Take A Vacation!, although I enjoy both. The friendship & love between Ryan & Brendon was so evident when Brendon kept saying that he was coming over & how they were miserable together. It was quite a beautiful story, Dru. As usual.

It was amazingly lovely to read some post-split vices and virtues fic that didn't end miserably. Thank you for making my day brighter. You deserve flowers. :3

P.S. the amount of Rydon in v&v is both beautiful and overwhelming. I hope something like this happened in RL, oh god.

yeah,i'm going through all the stories that i've missed, so what i looooove your writing too much to pass it up.

anyway, i still haven't heard any other songs on this album, so i can't really get the inspiration behind this but i definitely got the feeling. i saw in a thread somewhere, that you wrote this while listening to the album and that when the songs changed as you were listening, the song would change in the story and i thought that that was a really cool concept. and it's impressive that you can write such a good, thought-out, heart-felt story in less than an hour, or however long the album is.

i love how you always portray ryan, even if he seems different from fic to fic, it always still feels right, no matter what, and this one is no exception. i loved his desperation and vulnerablity and i loved that he drank while listening and i could almost feel the itch for the joint too cos you made all the emotions seem so real and relatable.

the ending was amazing. i always love your endings but i get what you mean when you say you don't really know when to end a fic because i'm pretty much the same way. anyway, i love that you didn't take this into brendon actually coming over and i know that you're completely aware you're doing this, but you're just letting me decide what happens when brendon arrives and my story might be different from your story and that possibility of all these endings is just so cool.

I haven't listened to the album yet... *plugs ears* I don't want to. But if it's as incredibly amazing as you've made it feel like, the wait is worth it. You always get Ryan and Brendon fucking SPOT. ON. So jealous of you for that. And as usual the weed and booze in this makes everything more realistic, because honestly we all wanna reach for a bong and a bottle every now and then.

I have no idea how you get Ryan's voice so spot-on, but you do. It's amazing. I can just imagine this happening. Vices & Virtues is such a fucking love letter to Ross...

I was wondering if you were going to write a response story to the release of the album ... and I wasn't let down. :) The last line was a perfect-fit ending.

Don't need me to tell you that this was amazing. I really liked the ending, but just a small mistake that I actually didn't even notice until I highlighted it to mention in this comment: This was such a bad idea. But he smiling. Just add a 'was' in there. I loved reading this, because I'm actually listening to Vices and Virtues right now so it somehow made this one shot even more lovely. I cry too much when I read your writing, I swear.

So I haven't heard any of the other songs on Vice & Virtues yet But-- I did enjoy this! It's so wonderful There's just so much emotion and I just love how everything is portrayed. I really like the last line; it was a great way to end this. Lovely job
