"For not getting home until 7 o'clock, I know you dislike Lucy, and I couldn't remember the ambulance number"
Should be:
"Sorry for what?" Nan started to cough.
"For not getting home until 7 o'clock. I know you dislike Lucy, and I couldn't remember the ambulance number,"
It's just you have to have a puncuation mark at the end of quotation marks.
