    Right, so, commenting.
    Firstly--yay for shameless pimping :tehe:

It's so great how you never mention his name until the very end, and yet you know it's Gerard. Maybe because you said the mad in the middle of the poster specifically, but any way, it was a wonderful touch that you didn't keep mentioning him by name. It almost felt like they were thinking not of the name and the person represented by the name, the name everyone sees, but of the person behind it, and how much he's done in sacrifice of his own wellbeing.

I painted smiles on people’s faces and managed to make them mean it, but the smile on my face grew less and less genuine as time passed.

Each KTF you do come from a different perspective, every single time. In this one, they seem to be 'walking in his shoes,' which is great, because it is like seeing the person behind the face, the soul behind the name. And it's wonderful that they don't feel the oh-so-glamorous lifestyle that you'd imagine from a superstar, but they see dthe downsides, the pressure he's inflicted upon himself in an effort to save, and how much of a toll it's really taken.

I watched videos and pictures of him, smiling in each, but I now understood what the mist in his eyes meant.

The burden had become too much to smile genuinely.

^It's like...realisation, of what it means to be the saviour. How you don't just face the praise, but the rejection of so many who fail to believe in you. And not only that, but the battle within yourself, of the burdens you take off everyone else's shoulder. And what's so nice, as an ending to this, is that they still see Gerard enough, still, as just a normal person to be able to think that they need saving too. That they're not totally impervious, and they need help, like everyone else.

The ending was just so sweet, taking us back to the start image of the poster again, but now with a deeper knowledge of what they've done to be on that poster--what he's done to be able to still stand in the middle, and be able to fake a smile.

Needless to say, it's awesome, as always. Yay for pimping, feel free to do it any time, at leats for my part it's always worth reading something of yours.
