It's because Faulkner is a badass xD
But anyways... omfg this just like... works so perfectly. It's totally the Doctor's thinking in a nutshell, just this rambling... goodness. The first bit just hooks you perfectly and then it keeps you going through the whole thing until you're done and you're left with this giggle because it's so in character for the Doctor and funny and awesome. Yet it totally sounds Faulkner, too. Who knows, maybe the Faulkner was a Time Lord. Wouldn't surprise me
Oh, and the banner just makes me giggle, too.

This is absolutely amazing, and as this beautiful thief pointed out, RORY PUSHED THE DOCTOR UP AGAINST A WALL OF THE TARDIS. Not only is this thought in itself pretty damn fantastic (and slightly special; I hope Steven Moffat is listening ;)), but it was Rory doing the pushing, and I reckon most people would write it the other way around - which, of course, wouldn't have been half as good, psh.
Aft, this is amazing, I have nothing more to say. If you're looking for something a little more constructive I suggest you seek Piers Morgan. I vote for making an entire series of these and furthermore, I vote that you inform me when you start such a series if you ever do.

This is amazing. I have nothing constructive to say at all because RORY PUSHED THE DOCTOR UP AGAINST A WALL OF THE TARDIS and I am in love because this paints such an amazing mental picture in such a short space of time and I would very, very much like an entire series of fics like this one.

So. Love the Doctor. Love Rory. Do not love the Doctor and Rory together as a couple. Just no. That being said. This was lovely. The way it was written was nice but I can't say I'm a fan of the fact that it was just one very long sentence. Otherwise, very nicely done.
