    OMG an update. :O
I didn't think it would happen so quickly after your last responses, lol. I'm glad that it did, though. :D Makes me happy that my comments inspired continuation as well. :)
Wow, everything hit the fan in this one though. XD :O But yes, I'm glad Mac finally stood up for herself! Like she has just been so submissive throughout the story, going along with everything because she thought it was right, when no... she has every right to justify her stance for certain things. I do agree with the overall theme, though, that they should work on the marriage instead of just automatically calling a divorce. But after this chapter, who knows what will happen. But it's good that Mac stood up for herself, because she's just finally bringing to light a conflict that has been avoided. Deep down, Alex probably knew it as well, and just didn't want to admit to it, ergo his reaction.
Rest assured though, I'm still team Malex. lol. I think that would be their ship name? :D
Now we just need Alex to come around a bit. I hope maybe this confrontation makes him realize what he's been doing, and maybe give Mac more insight into his backstory as well, since we still have yet to see that. Like she wanted to know more about his past, you can't blame her and that may also still be part of the underlying tension they still have going.
Sucks that they're under contract for the show, though. Maybe Alex can work on finding a way out of it, to show that he really cares for Mac? Idk how that really works in real life, though. :/ But hey, this is fiction, right? ;)
Anyway, loved the new update, great job with it! :) I'm excited to see how you conclude the story. <3 Or continue with more than just one more update? Not sure how many chapters you have in mind until completing it.
As a reader, thank you again for picking this back up. Seldom do writers actually do that anymore on here. So you're pretty great. :D

It almost brought tears to my eyes!! I think sometimes as a writer I get so upset about not being relevant enough or I’m so hard on myself. It was so refreshing to hear from you once again!

Aw, yay! Glad that you're still around and thinking of the story. :) That's really awesome in itself. Don't hear back from a lot of writers anymore. :/
I totally understand, I just wanted to leave a comment since it had been a while and I hadn't heard anything. But also, to give more detailed feedback compared to the first time around. :) Hope to see something soon. I'm glad my feedback gives at least a little motivation to help you get there with writing it. :)

I finally found my login info and I am utterly overwhelmed by your kindness. I haven’t had a real moment to sit down and think about what I want the conclusion to be, as I don’t quite like the one that I originally wrote, but I am trying to finish this story. I want Mac and Alex to have a conclusion just as much as you do! Thank you so so so so much for your investment. It really has been the biggest encouragement. ❤️❤️

Okay, so, hiiii again. It's me, the same commenter that left the last comment.... XD
So, lately I've been stumbling across stories I've read before, and rereading them because I read so much and can't find any more decent stories, or simply because I enjoyed them a lot the first time around, or because I look at the feedback I once left and realize, I didn't say everything I could've said that I loved about the story. I think this case is a mixture between that last thing, but also because I remember enjoying this story, so I wanted to read it again.
Upon review, I realize that you did comment back and let me know you were thinking about continuing it. Obviously, it never happened, but that's okay. I just wanted to leave feedback again anyway, to... possibly inspire you even further? Idk.
It's been so long now, so, it's probably a bit hopeless, but, I just wanted to leave feedback again, since I reread it. And rereading it again... I can't believe I never mentioned more with my original feedback.
I really loved what you had of this series. I love the fact that Mac does her best to work through all of the problems; that's a strong woman right there. Especially considering how much that lacks on Alex's part, I mean... we see him start toward the end of this installment, but for the most part, I strongly believe Mackenzie had more of the backbone when it came to their marriage. She's the one that chose to forgive him, she's the one that pushed through for the sake of the marriage, and I just, strongly admired her for that.
Perhaps that's part of the problem we saw later within this second installment. Alex, compared to Mackenzie, is definitely more closed off, and he didn't seem too willing to open up to her for some reason. Whether that be because he was scared to, or because he didn't want her to think any different of him, or something else... like, why couldn't he just see that that's all she wanted? Was some honesty, I guess. I mean, not to say he isn't being honest, but he's done very little to prove that, you know?
Also, reading this again, along with the first installment... it amazes me how easily she forgave him when he cheated. He, again, did very little to explain why it happened or to make up for it, yet she still forgave him, which again, was something highly admirable about her character. But just reading that again was very unsettling this time around... just like the fact that he didn't have to do more to prove or explain himself for that moment; that she just forgave him. Perhaps that adds on to the problems they experienced in this second installment.
And reading this second one, hmm... something to work with if you ever do find the inspiration to come back to it: maybe have Mac tell him that she doesn't want to do the reality show anymore. That's honestly what it seems like after reading through this again. He forced her into it, and again, for the sake of the marriage and wanting to make him happy, she went along with it, but I think Alex as a character in this story needs to realize what makes her happy and what doesn't. Do things for her to make her happy, not just to make him feel good about himself, you know? Not to say he was completely conceited, but it seems like every one of his actions also benefitted him in some way too. Like, he should do something because she solely wants it, and that may help their relationship. For instance, even the fashion line... while that did seem solely for her, it seemed he was doing it because he felt like he had to. Like, he should just do something that he knows she's wanted, you know? She would have wanted that eventually, but so many steps were skipped in the process (like her learning more from school, for instance).
This all being said, I will go back to that original point in my first comment that I do believe Alex truly loves her, and that's really sweet how much he does. It's something I still see a lack of in quite a few stories, so it's very refreshing in this one. With my new perspective, it just seems like he needs to work on how he goes about convincing her. He should tell her about his past, and maybe let her start making more of the decisions when it comes to what she does professionally but also in relation to the marriage. She deserves more of a say, and I'm not sure he even realizes that, so... that may be a bit difficult to finally get him to realize, but maybe just have her confront him or something, as you mentioned at the end of the last chapter you posted?
... I just realized this critique probably seems a lot more critical than my last, but, I feel like my views are definitely more constructive here. Perhaps this will help with motivating you on writing an end to this story. I think Mac and Alex deserve some type of conclusion, even if it's just a final chapter wrap-up or something.
Mac seems very critical of their relationship towards the last few updates you did, so, maybe you could work with that. Maybe have her actually ask for a divorce, and show her backbone quite literally. I mean, I don't want that to happen, but maybe it would finally give Alex that newsflash that, 'hey, maybe I should finally do something different other than just sweeping her off her feet.' I mean, that's definitely a component to any relationship, but that seems to be his main solution all the time, and I think that's what's finally affecting Mac with the later chapters.
Okay, that's my final thought, wow this is a long comment compared to the last. XD I hope you're able to see this, and at the very least, smile. :) Know that your story/series was good enough to read a second time all the way through, haha. Still stand by the fact that you're a great writer, and hey, perhaps you did have all of the things off with their relationship intended this whole time? Perhaps that's the big overlaying arch to the story, and it's what they finally are able to learn from.
I have my fingers crossed that you will update this again someday. You did tell me that you planned on doing so after my original comment, sooo... maybe it's still on your mind? But so much has happened, so, I can understand the difficulty to probably do so. Not to mention, a lot has changed with the band, so it may be hard to get back into the mindset of what was happening for them at the time the story has them, career-wise. But then again, you did have them on a reality show for E!, which actually only seems more probable now as opposed to then, since they weren't as known then as they are now. XD I went along with that aspect though because it definitely made the story unique compared to others I've read, so kudos for that.
Anyway, I will still be here to read if you do continue it; clearly, since I'm commenting again three years later. XD I can't believe it's been three years since my original comment. :O
Hope you're well, girl. And hope this comment is better than my last. I like this one better, though; it shows you that I actually read and thought about what was going on, haha. :)

So I just stumbled across this story and its prequel and I must say, I really like it.
I'm sad to see it was never finished. :( I wanted to leave a comment to let you know if you ever did decide to pick up with it again, I'd be here to read. Because it is really well-written and I'd like to see an ending to it. But I understand how stories can be; it can be hard to pick up with them again after it's been a while. Not to mention, life keeps you busy.
But I'm holding out some hope. <3
Once again, greatly written. One of the better AG fan fics I've come across, I love how in love he is in this story, I don't feel a lot of authors are able to portray love that well. But this one definitely has it. :)
