I really don't know what to say other then this was so beautifully written it was heart breaking to read.
I love this story, its so full of ...gah i dont even know but its just amazing.

Okay that was a total shocker!
but this was my favorite line of this story so far

Her eyes closed as she readied the gun in her mouth, her teeth making a slight scraping sound on the gunmetal. She hated the feel of the barrel in her mouth, but she wouldn’t have to feel it for long. It would be over and done with in a few moments. She took a deep breath around the gun, hoping it would be her last as she prepared to end everything

I am shocked to the core that Alyssa decided to end her life after Matt said those fucking cruel words to her.
Damn when he said those words, I literally felt my heart break because Matt told Alyssa that he doesn't want to love Alyssa and that he would rather get comfort from other woman than deal with Alyssa.
I so want to kill Matt for destroying Alyssa and leaving nothing but a shell.
I hope Alyssa somehow lives because she deserves to live the life she wants not what Matt wants.
He deserves to rot in jail for tearing Alyssa's soul apart.

You've written this so well that I forget that Alyssa isn't real. I actually have no idea what to say to that chapter, it's not something that you see often in stories, not many authors go through with it, I like that you have, even though the story of Alyssa isn't a happy one, I like that it's shocking.

Oh I hope Alyssa is ok! That chapter was really heartbreaking...I could feel how depressed she really is about her life with Matt...so sad :( x

So Brian left knowing that he can't change Alyssa's mind in leaving Matt.

I mean he wants Alyssa to fight back when he abuses her but he also wants her to be submissive to him at the same time.
Does he even really love at all or he is just keeping her around for a toy that he can play with?!
And now Alyssa is cutting herself because she can control that pain and if she can't take anymore of Matt's abuse she could just end her life.

Finally catching up on all the stories I've been missing my God! I love how this one is going. I really hope Brian kicks Matt's ass. He's such a dick to Alyssa. What really tore my heart was the part about her hair smelling like the shampoo Matt doesn't like. What a fuckin prick. I seriously wanted to jump in your story and kick his ass myself. And Brian's right, she'll probably end up dead if she doesn't say something. SAY SOMETHING, ALYSSA!! SAY SOMETHING! ANYTHING! Keep this going, Kayla, this is awesome!

I think Alyssa might be suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
What Brian that if she lets Matt continue to treat her like that, he is going to kill her one day.
Matt is just using her so he can have control over someone that won't stand up to him and he'll tell her lies just to keep her from leaving him.
She really should listen to Brian!

I really can't explain how much i adore this story.
Brian is just wonderful and i feel so bad for Alyssa.
I love how you've written her fear of speak out about it and haven't over done it or made it pretentious. I've read a story similar to this and the main character really gets on my nerves because she's just being completely stupid. I love that you're not making Alyssa a 'dumb victim' and i really hope that didn't come across wrong haha.
