Ah, man. I guess that this story won't be updated anymore if your account isn't active. Sadness! Well, I hope you've moved on to bigger and better things, following your dreams elsewhere.
I'm so slow that I have only just read your update - but wow it was worth waiting for! Love your writing, it's obvious that you really put so much into it. Don't make us wait so long for the next chapter - you can use the trade and artistic license to your advantage!
It has been awhile between updates but loved this all the same :)
I agree it's weird having people in the story that aren't at the team anymore but it works for the story. Looks like things are looking up for James and Izzy though which is good.
Jesus I don't even think I was breathing through that chapter (especially at the end). Its funny how they both try to be level headed. I can't wait until he gets back from the trip
I was so excited when I saw that you updated! This chapter was amazing. James was so sweet in this chapter, with everything he did for Izzy's birthday, especially since it was such last notice. And then James' dad had to come and shorten their time.
I absolutely love this story - and yes, it is hard with so many still not with the Pens, but you make it work. Yours is not a quick read. It is a very deep and thought provoking story that I am so glad you updated. I make sure to find some quiet time where I can really take the story in.
I love that these two are seeming to break down some walls - and I also love that there are so many people "rooting" for them to get together.
But jeez Dad, could you have just waited a few minutes more!!!
Ahhh they're getting so close. Soooo close. I want so badly for them to get to a place where Izzy can tell James about her past, although I worry about his reaction right now. I loved how they spent her birthday - every part of it :)
This just made my month. I understand though about updating after trades, it makes it very hard. But I still love Izzy and James so I'm really happy to have read an update.
It's finals season, and I decided to read this instead of studying. Imagine my disappointment when I got to the most recent chapter to realize that the story isn't complete! This is truly an inspiring story. It has this ring of realism that hums with each description, conversation, character. I hope that you find the time and inspiration to continue writing this beautiful story. I would love to see what more is to come to light in Izzy's vibrant and confounding life. I'm anxious for James to get himself on the straight path of emotional and psychological healing so that Izzy's next batch of misfortune and mental relapse can come under way. I know that there must be so much more to come: Finch is bound to stir up some trouble--even as far as a relapse maybe? (though I hope it doesn't go that far)--; Izzy has to face her mother's health and therefore address their relationship, or lack thereof; she must confess her past, perceived shortcomings, and deep rooted fears to not only James but also the rest of her new friends--she cannot continue bottling things up and keeping secrets from any of them else they find out in a less desirable way (such as Finch's meddling or a relapse, in which I dearly hope Sidney doesn't find out accidentally and get the wrong impression as he did that day in front of the appliance store) or feel hurt for her not trusting them or being wholly honest with them; and don't think I've forgotten the mysterious ex from DC who has sent a creepy (for lack of a better word, as it wasn't quite threatening or controlling) note and gives Izzy the heeby jeebies. Yes, there is much to come from young Izzy's tale, and I dearly hope you continue with your talented story telling. PS I also hope we get to see more of Hugh (and that almost forgotten check), Michael, and Izzy's father, as well as some of the other players and their families (queue Duper's kids!). We need some lighthearted moments to distill all of this angst! Thank you for posting such a thought out and developed story; I eagerly await the next installment!
