In Summer Skies. - Comments

This chapter did not suck. And I'm being completely honest when I say this: the whole time I was reading this, I was thinking back to the chapter I'd just abandoned writing so I could read and thinking, "Damn, I wish I could write like this." Because I think this chapter was beautiful and amazing and extremely well written. It makes me want to be a better writer!

And it's not cliché, at least not in my opinion. I hate that you left it where you did though, because that's a cliff-hanger if I ever saw one. Are the guys going to confess to what they did? And then what will Good Charlotte say!? D= Now we need the next chapter. =P

I hope life is treating you well and school is going good. Just take your time with things. =)

In the prequel I was hoping she'd end up with Xavier and fortunately she did in this story. I just really hope she doesn't end up with Jimmy, I mean I have nothing against him but I feel like he would be better off with Xavier than with him. Obviously it's going to take a really long time for her to trust them but I hope she can move on and work things out with Xavier.

I don't know of you're going to update again but it will be nice to know the rest of the story.

It's going to take a long while before she can fully trust them because how she closed herself off. And now Xavier telling her that they need time apart to figure things out because he wants her to explain why she doesn't care about her father anymore. I look forward to next update!

I think she wi trust ten again eventually. It will probably take even longer than it did for her to trust them in the first place bit I think it will happen eventually *.^

I love the story so much but i gotta say summer's constant yelling is very annoying im glad he broke things off snd wow summer is a bitch

I am starting to have mixed emotions about Xavier and Summer. I respect Xavier's point, cuz it's true, but I seriously hate the term 'taking a break'... Either way, loved this chapter. I think Matt and the boys are really onto something, lol. Should be fun to see how it all plays out. Hope you update soon!!!

I hope things works out in the end for her

I can kinda see Xavier's point, what with them taking a break and all. There's no point in a relationship when they won't talk about important issues that are affecting the relationship itself - like Summer's father is, for example. It's affecting Summer which therefore affects the relationship. I just really hope that it's not the last of them.

The whole 'showing up at Summer's home' stunt that they pulled doesn't seem like the best thing for them to have done. She needs somewhere to be able to escape from them and now that she knows they know where she lives, she doesn't have that any more. It's good that they feel that things might progress soon as she doesn't seem to be that against talking to them ever, but that shouldn't push it too much. It'll just ruin everything more than it already is.

I think there's a glimmer (and a teeny one at that) of hope that Summer will talk to them - just not yet. Jimmy noticed she made eye contact with him - and I guess to him, that makes him feel like he's won the lottery.

A bit of a filler, but interesting all the same. Sad to hear that she and Xavier will be taking a break, but I guess it happens to everybody eventually.

Not much else to say. Off to read the other update and then to read the new story. ;)

Yay, I finally got time out of college to read your update :D
I'm starting to say: 'screw the sex scene'. No, really. If people are horny go read some other NC-17 rated story, because I guess the actual story behind the sex won't matter much (if any). NC-17 rated stories are nice from time to time, but I like the lack of sex in what you write. It’s a change – a good one at that – and, Idk, incredibly it feels like a more mature read to me; kind of like it says there are some things more important to discuss about. So, don’t munch too much on that thought…
Now, to the update: I feel divided. I want Summer and Xavier to break up, of course I do. I mean, I’m ‘team Jimmy’ or whatever you want to call it. Not to mention that those two are slowly growing apart and it seems that them being together is nothing but a forced act. But at the same time… I’m pretty sure Xavier has been Summer’s safe harbor for years now and I fear the way Summer’s gonna take it if he suddenly disappears. For some reason, I can’t believe the guys will be the ones she will hold on to, not really. And, I guess, to her it will feel like she is finally alone.
However, I am really glad Jimmy/ the guys are not giving up on her anytime soon. I hope that will show Summer how much they have changed (:

I get why Summer doesn't want to get close again to her father because in a way he abandoned her when she needed him most. He chose his job over her and she doesn't want to let him back in. And for the guys, she is still very angry for what they did to her and the pain they caused for her. But the guys are not going to give up. And it seems that Xavier and her relationship is coming to an end because they know they aren't meant for each other! I can't wait for the next update!

I really love this, and I don't know. I think it will loose some major part of it if you add sex scenes... do you get what I'm trying to say, 'cause I'm not sure if I'm wording it right... Not like it would make it worse, but I feel like it'll loose something like its innocence even though it's not innocent. Does that make sense?

I love the update! I've always been a HUGE fan of your writing and I agree with your teacher when you have a talent such as writing you should use that to your advantage.. This update was amazing as always and I love how you didn't write the sex scene because I'm pretty sure all of us with very descriptive minds can kind of play out what happened ;) But I'm not against the whole sex scene idea either I think one or two bring a sort of burst of energy to the story ..

This chapter was very good. It seemed kind of like a stepping stone. With what happened between Summer and Xavier and Jimmy and the others finally going to think up a plan... Xavier and Summer's relationship... It seems like shit is about to hit the fan with them. Not in a crazy way, but it seems like their whole relationship is about to crumble. Hopefully they'll still be friends or something but idk if that'd work.

Either way, I cannot wait until you update again!!

First off this chapter was amazing! I like that you have Summer with Xavier. I know a lot of people don't like stories like that, but the way you've described him, I've practically fell in love with him. Now if there's a time where they're going to split, I'm probably going to be the most saddest person around. They are just really darn cute together. I mean no offense to Jimmy or anything.

About the sex scene, I personally don't like reading them in like every chapter. I think it makes the story not bad, but it makes me dislike the story. I mean if you have a sex scene and it's correctly grammared then, I really enjoy them. I just hate when a person uses slang language when writing sex scenes. Telling by your beautiful writing I think I will enjoy a scene if you decide to put one in, of course.
