I'm a Maine fan, but I don't really know any of the band members, so I'm excited to read this!

I really was quite gutted for Carson when John proposed to her friend. I was so sad when she showed for the wedding and had to go through the initial stages, but I had a proper you go girl! moment when she stood up and said all of that to John. I was honestly heartbroken when I realised that the two of them weren't going to get together after the wedding. It would have been a cliché ending though, and I love how you've avoided that by having her transfer to a different area. It's such a sad moment, but you've executed it so well. Lovely description, too! You add in loads of little details that make this all really lovely to read through and your sentences flow together so naturally.

I love stories about them though.

This opening this is brilliant, really.
I love how head over heals in love she is with him and yet, he decides to marry her best friend.
That's just a kick in the teeth.
