I've been subscribed to this story for a long time but I kept forgetting to check for updates. I'm glad I did today because there was so much more to read since I subscribed! I just wanted to say that I love this story and I'm interested to see where it progresses. Although, I'm terribly afraid for her dad and brother and what's to come. But I will still be here when you're ready to update again! I love it. ^.^

I enjoyed reading this as my comment swap and think that the layout was well thought out. Also I love the poem at the start ;) I was the daughter of the sea.

The ebb and flow of the waves, steady

    unlike my breathing.

The tide came in to greet me.

Then it receded and took them with it.

    Now, the strong undertow

is pulling me to its dark depths You need to bring out more plz this is great ;) Not to be annoying please put capital letters on the chapter names

Firstly I just want to say that I didn't expect to enjoy this story even half as much as I did. I know nothing about fishing or fisherman or what have you, but that doesn't matter because your writing is fluent and perfectly descriptive and I suspect the plot so far is building up to something beautiful and devastating. Really well done.

So I saw the review on this and thought it was interesting. This is actually gorgeous Cheese The simplicity of your writing flows with the mood of the story though there were parts that just struck me. Specially this line: It hurt her so much to see a friend so dear mourn the declining health of his hero. Everything about this is just so painfully beautiful (the layout, the writing style, the words). I have fallen for Thea's character too. I didn't think you could make a story about the life of a fisherman's daughter but here is one and it is damn flawless. Please update soon, I can't wait to follow more of Thea's life :)

The story descriptions are quite excellent so great job on that, it shows that you had put a lot of effort into making it believable for the readers. The layout itself is also excellent because it doesn't overshadow the story yet it has its own shine as well. I'm most totally recommended this and subscribing as well.

Firstly, I really like your layout! While looking at the computer screen it literally feels as if I'm in the ocean. floating around. Nice creative touch!

The fact that you touched on death and loss that goes along with the crabbing industry. That is all too true, and I liked that you mentioned it.

I definitely related to Thea, when she wished her family had chosen another profession. Really good story so far!

I've read the first couple chapters and might I say, wow. The writing technique is beyond perfect. I have not read a story with so much detail and maturity then yours. I am hooked and I'll have to come to read, it's already three in the morning and insomnia is finally wearing off. Heehee. Please continue your writing, its amazing.

Another thing I really like about your story, is the lengths of your chapters - they're nice and concise; you manage to give all the information you need without boring the reader to death. This is something I'm striving to do myself - but failing miserably at, I always get too carried away. Anyway, the lengths are just the right size to leave the reader wanting more. loooooove it!

I've only read the first chapter so far, but I just had to stop for a second and compliment you.

I absolutely love your writing style is so... flow-y and serene and descriptive. I just love it. I never thought a passage about a lineage of fisherman could be so engrossing, yet the language you use to describe it has me yearning to move onto the next chapter. I cannot wait to read more[:

You have a very beautiful writing style, and I honestly can't find anything wrong with this story. All of your descriptions are lovely and your main character, Thea, really seems to have a sense of herself and a personality of her own. So far, I really like Jake, as well. He seems sweet, but awkward, and I like that.

I loved the layout, very calm and beautiful, and the description at the beginning was really good. I loved the back-story and the way the story flowed. Really good job. You have a really talented way with writing. Keep it up!

First, your layout is absolutely beautiful. Second, I like your story. Rarely are characters so developed as yours, and the relationships and people and situations are described in such a way that it's real for the reader. You're an amazing writer [:

I have to admit, the title of the story was slightly off-putting. However, the second I clicked on your story, I was glad that I did. The layout is absolutely beautiful, and the story description I instantly felt myself drawn to the story. Everything about it is just.... Perfect. You have a beautiful way of writing, and the way you described everything, or just the general flow of your sentences. Everything about this is just beautiful.
