That's okay! You actually responded a lot sooner than a lot of others have, probably the quickest I've seen actually, on a story that hasn't been updated in a while, or posted a while ago. lol.

oh my gosh, sorry about the late response, I don't check here very often anymore because I don't read like I used to but ANYWAY. I don't take what you said as insulting. Honestly, this story is soooo old that I can't necessarily give you a bunch of answers haha. I think my writing has evolved from this story a good bit but this was a standalone because I'm the worst.

Hmm... so I just stumbled across this and decided to check it out. This is different than a lot of things I've read. Very bittersweet. Usually, when there's a kid involved, the kid automatically falls in love with the significant other, or there isn't as much drama, so this one definitely changed things up a bit.
I'm wondering why the other band members hated Jaelyn so much, along with Brooklynn hating her. Although I'm thinking for Brooklynn it was a mixture of it just being a phase and then influence from Jack. But like, for the rest... your best friend married her, show a little respect.
I'm not sure what the original prompt was for this one-shot (since the link no longer works), so perhaps that explained things a bit more. But this definitely sounds like it had more of a story to it, so maybe I'm just missing something that explains it. With the way the summary sounds, it sounds like it's almost a sequel or continuation of something, idk. Or maybe it was just a snippet of a life; that also makes it different, because I feel like other one-shots start from the beginning, and this seemed to be from the middle somewhere.
But anyway, please don't take my critique insultingly, just giving my honest thought process as I was reading. I think you're a great writer, and if you ever choose to write anymore Alex/OC stories, let me know and I'll check them out. :)
