Firstly, I love the picture used in the layout. It fits perfectly.
I found your plot idea to be very original and your sentences have a pleasurable flow. It was refreshing to read about the guys at a younger age as this isn't usually done. The majority of stories featuring the Winchesters are romance and horror, so I really enjoyed this snippet. It was like a little dose of peace in a sea of drama and tragedy. It's good to know that Sam can still escape into the awesome world of literature, esp fantasy, when his own life is full of the supernatural.
Also, I loved the fact you mentioned Sam's fear of clowns, his inability to cuss and especially the Christine reference in relation to Dean :)
