Ordinary Girl - Comments

  • I love this piece. I love the anonymity of the main character, and how that in itself connects to the idea of ordinariness. This short story is beautiful, and I think if you wanted to (or perhaps you already have), you could easily publish it. I noticed a few spelling/grammar errors, but nothing glaring. I love the concept of an average main character because most stories are about people who are really intelligent or beautiful, but this is about an average person: this is about every person. Everyone can relate to feeling plain or unfulfilled with their lives. Or perhaps I feel more of a kinship with your character because I too was raised in a small town. Great job. I love it.

  • This is a really interesting piece and I am lucky to have stumbled upon it :)
I love the way you write, it's unique and it keeps me wanting to read more! This story really says a lot even though it has only one chapter. I know it's silly, but I found a little bit of myself in here, found myself in the main character and it only made me like it more.. I hope it's more than a short story and that I'll be able to find out where the 'ordinary girl' ends up :)))

  • I thought this was a unique writing piece... I would actually like to know why you wrote it. I did like reading it though. It had a good message and it was well written. I think you did a fantastic job on it and I think you should continue writing! You do a very good job! :)

  • I really liked how at the start you used repetition to show that she was 'ordinary'. I think sometimes people can use it but it just doesn't work since they don't use it right, so things get boring. You however, pulled it off. I really enjoyed it :)

There are a couple minor spelling and grammar errors here and there. Might want to proofread.
