I'm Alright Like This - Comments

Ooof, so by the chapter title, I had a feeling something was going to go wrong... :O That was rough for sure.
But I'm glad it all ended up working out. An Emo Nite proposal is seriously goals though, is it not? lol. I would be pretty happy with that tbh. :D So I guess it went wrong for the even better proposal location? lol.
Hmm, but interesting beginning with bringing Sam back in. Is he gonna go full-on stalker? Try to steal Lucy away from Alex? It is a little weird how he called her... AND STILL HAD HER NUMBER after all that time. What. lol, although I'm not sure which I'm more shocked by: the fact he still had her number or the fact that she still has the same number after all that time, lol.
But yay, glad that Alex came to support her! She did have a point; she's supported him through everything, so he should try to do the same for her. So I'm glad he's at least working on doing better with that. It was cute how he surprised her. :')
I wonder if Sam's gonna cause more drama. He at least found out about the engagement, so maybe he'll back off some... but then again, I love some jealous Alex, LMAO. So I'm a bit conflicted on what way I want this to go. XD Although not the type of jealous Alex in this chapter, since he was kind of sad/mean about it. Like the entertaining type. XD If that makes any sense.
Anyway, great job with the update! So happy to see a new chapter. :) And look at me being more prompt with commenting; notifications will hopefully be going to my inbox from now on.

Great job with the new update! Ooh... I think Alex was about to drop a secret he shouldn't have at the end there. Or maybe he kind of technically did? Let's just say I have some theories of what he did when he was running "errands" in the previous chapter. :P
I need to point out my favorite lines from this chapter:
I wanted to remember this night and every single time, Jack yelled that I'm not allowed to remember back at me.
lol, this just reminded of something Jack would actually say in real life, so kudos to being on point. XD
“Well you started saying all this stuff about wanting to remember the night so I started taking your shots for you like any gentleman would.” He nodded his head for emphasis.
And this was just, cute. XD :D Again, like, something I could picture. XD
Oooh, and we got some sexy times. ;) lol, I always feel so awkward commenting on that. XD So, I'm not really great feedback wise on this section, but just know this definitely helps make the story. lol. But definitely since this story started with hook-ups in the first place, right? Who ever thinks steamy scenes are bad? XD
Anyway, I have a question, and I'm not sure if I ever asked it... I'm too lazy to go back and read the comments I left at the moment, lol. Who do you picture as Lucy? I think at the beginning of the story she was described with red hair, like, I was picturing like the cherry red hair Hayley Williams made iconic, haha. But I don't see Hayley playing this role as an original character? Although maybe that's who you had in mind, I'm not sure. And does Lucy still have the same hair color now, all these years later? I just usually like to picture characters, so I was wondering if you had anyone specific in mind to reference.
Also, if you ever get stuck at any point, I do have an idea I would like to see in this. I'll keep it to myself for now, though, because you do seem to have thoughts with where you're going for this. And who knows, maybe what I'm thinking is similar to an idea you already have in mind. :P
But yeah, really liked the new chapter. :D Interested in seeing how much of it was foreshadowing. Alex, you dope, giving away your plans a bit... XD

Thanks for reading! I just reread the whole DayDream series/trilogy of whatever you’d like to call it and I’m working on updating it soon! I’m trying to give equal love to all the stories but also get a few more ideas for that story before I update again. It won’t be years before I update I swear!!

Okay, now, as for the actual update, I really loved it! I'm going to take it that's probably the end, right? Since a lot of time was skipped and seemed more like an epilogue of sorts? Unless maybe you just wanted to do that so it came to present day?
If it's not the end, I will definitely still be reading, but if it is, thank you for giving it more of a conclusion it deserves! lol, I'm not sure how I should be responding to it since it hasn't officially been checked off yet, so... XD
I love how realistic you made the chapter, though. It's sad that Lucy couldn't continue her dream, but I was like, "Holy shit, if this isn't so accurate though..." Like it made total sense, because so many bands from five years ago aren't together anymore (VersaEmerge, We Are The In Crowd, The Summer Set, etc.). So I just really loved the fact that you included that, and didn't make her band still together, because... while that would've been great, it takes it out of the cliche a little bit and makes it more believable. Although, again, it is sad that she had to let it go. Maybe she could be like Cassadee Pope and have a solo career now, haha.
Also, LYR <333 That has to be my favorite song off the album tbh. Just reminds me of classic ATL compared to the other songs. :)
Hmm... what else, what else. I'm again still not sure what all to say since I'm not sure if this is officially the end or not? lol. But I'm glad they're still together. :D And I guess they're just living together? Would be interesting to see if they ever got married, started a fam, etc. Also, the fact that Sam wasn't mentioned at all, I found interesting. But I guess so much time has passed, so... maybe they just let it go and didn't keep in contact.
Again, if this is the end, no worries with not answering these questions. Perhaps you could just clarify in a separate message or something. :P I'm just happy that there was a fuller conclusion, so thank you. :D

You definitely have to be one of the few writers I can count on to come back (and even if not in the writing sense, at the very least, just gets on Mibba in general, lol).
So yes, I really loved this and will be here if you choose to write more for it, and also for your other stories. :D It also makes me happy that you still enjoy writing them; many of the authors I come across often tell me that they're past that type of fan fic writing, so I love that you're still into it. :)

Why did I take so long to read it? Again, bookmarked along with the other one, around the same time I read the first series... but just now getting around to reading it. XD
I'm really bummed this one was never continued. It kind of left off on a question too, with Alex being a bit upset at the letter. But hey, I didn't see that as Lucy's fault. I don't understand why Sam couldn't take a hint, especially when he moved on and got a girlfriend? Why was he even dating someone (or someones as we saw on the tour), causing even more heartbreak for more people? I mean, I guess he was trying to fill the void, but it was just tacky when it got to be more than one person. C'mon now, couldn't really feel bad for him when that happened. Then not to mention, when he kept confronting Lucy without taking the hint that she didn't want to see him. Like, really dude.
As I was reading, I found it surprising that Lucy was always at fault, especially given Alex's reputation at the beginning. It's really sweet he was that dedicated to her, but I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop with him. Did he really give that lifestyle up for her? Or was his reputation all just rumor, or...? I feel like that wasn't fully confronted, although maybe there would have been plans for that, idk.
Saying that, it sounds like I'm trying to push them away, but I honestly do love Lucy and Alex together. Their relationship is really sweet, and even though it is really physical, there is definitely something deeper there as well, as you can tell by Alex getting angry over her and Sam.
So, yeah, I'm team Alex for this story, although that shouldn't be much of a surprise. XD
And yeah, it's been a long time since you updated this, I realize. But you were just on updating your other story a little over a year ago, so... I have hope you could potentially come back to this someday too. I really hope so, anyway. :) Even if it's just a quick wrap up with a final chapter or something.
You are seriously an amazing writer. Another thing I'm genuinely impressed with: you make so much happen in so little chapters. Usually, this is a bad thing, because then that means things are rushed, but, you know just how to pace things and it's all convincing. I love that it feels like I read 20 chapters to this story, for instance, instead of 10. You have a knack for putting a lot of content into each of your stories' chapters and that's definitely a stand-out to me out of all the fanfics/writers I've read from. :)
