This was wonderful! I love how sweet Max was to go over to her in the first place and then just continue to stay with her. My heart hurt for Claire though. I can only imagine how horrible that must've been and how guilty she must feel. Thankfully, Max was there to (kind of) save the day and offer some consoling. I'm happy Claire was able to find some happiness--at least a little bit--in all of this.

This actually kind of reminded me of those old Greek/Roman tales. The girl is heartbroken and some random stranger comes up, comforts her, and they kind of fall in love. Usually those types of stories just don't appeal to me, but this one was different. I really liked the detail you used and how you kept coming back to how Max's eyes were. Very lovely stuff.

I don't know who Max Green is, but I intend to find out now.

I took your advice and googled Max and oh my, what a beaut of a man! He's so handsome. Claire is so lucky to have found him in a cafe, I swear it makes me want to try my arm at crying in a random cafe to who'll come to my rescue.

This was such a sweet story, I mean I cab actually see it happening. It's not at all unrealistic, but very modern and true to itself. I felt so sorry for Claire; losing someone, even an ex is so difficult. I can't help but say though that if it weren't for her ex passing, she'd never have met Max.

You should continue this without a doubt. I wonder if Max will live up to his beauty. Or is beauty only skin deep?

hey!! i just finished reading your story; i loved it!! Really though, i don't know how to explain it, but i'll surely try.

first of all, i was able to identify myself a bit with the girl because that happened to me too.. well, not an ex, but with my dad. So that whole guilt sort of feel and how you say things you don't really fell just gets to me. (not in a bad way though, you come to terms with those type of things).

also, i loved how a total stranger just walks up and does that, i mean, that's what the world needs!! more people who are preoccupied in helping someone else out, even if it is just a touch, words, a gesture or even a smile. People walk around all the time to busy thinking about irrelevent and materialistic things.. so kind of feeling the story gave me was really great!!

and the description!! It was very vivid and i could simply imagine the whole thing. The story has a very simple yet interesting flow to it because of the writing, so that's real good :) all in all i liked it very much and i will sub just to have it there for future read :) and btw, thank you so much for your comment, i really really appreciate it :D

Hello, this is for comment swap.

So, I might as well start by saying how I felt the emotion brew through this story. It makes me want to cry when a character is put into a spot in which they regret saying something, as this character had done with her ex-boyfriend. Pulling the "I hate you card" is always tough to cope with.

Aside that, this was very well written. I only saw a minor error which can be fixed. And its sweet to have a should to cry on<3
