The Sound of Settling - Comments

  • I love it! You've used a familiar plot and made it all your own. I would love a little more description of the scenes your story, especially of the village and the road between the governor's house and the town. Your plot and characters are wonderful, you definitely have the talent to make it more descriptive, so don't be afraid to create this story in your words. I did notice one or two grammatical errors, it's not a bad thing to use spellcheck, hell, I use it all the time! I have connections to a New York Bestseller of historical fiction, and I am so glad you have chosen this genre. Happy writing!

  • This was a super interesting story! I really enjoyed your voice in this, it's a writing style I don't often see and thought was well done for the most part. I would just take some time to thoroughly edit so that grammatical or punctuation errors don't take away from the story. Keep writing! Great job!

  • i really, really love this. I wouldn't normally read stories set in the past but i think you've changed my mind forever- and in just 2 chapters!!! i can't wait to see where you take this and i'm so excited about meating Alfonso (asumming we will), he seems to be on Filippa's mind alot so i can't wait for him to be officially introduced to the story.

  • I really loved this...you introduced all the characters wonderfully, the flow of your writing is superb.I can tell this is going to be a very intriguing story and I really cannot wait to see how the story unfolds for Filippa and Harold. And I'm looking forward to the famous Alfonso being in the story rather than hearing about him from Filippa so I can see what he's really like :)

  • The title is what drew me to this story originally.
And the introduction is rather inconspicuous in a good way.
And I rather enjoy the whole meeting strangers and making assumptions.
I'm rather intrigued to see where this story goes :)

Oh my goodness, this is perfect. I love this story so much. I love your style and this idea! It's different from anything i've ever read. I really like the layout, it's very simplistic. I'm really excited to see where this goes so I'm for sure subscribing!

    Just keep writing(:
