I feel like you have a path set for this piece, and I want to help you on your way (please, don't take anything I'm about to say to be offensive, as I very much want to help):
Make sure you're watching your punctuation. If you don't use it right, or not at all, it can make for an ugly, confusing piece. Make sure you're using apostrophes every time they're needed. I notice you used them off and on with this, and that's not good.
Make sure you're only capitalizing the first letter of a sentence, unless it is an 'I.' Once again, using incorrect capitalization will turn a reader off immediately.
When using quotation marks, make sure they hug the sentence nicely. It could have easily been an accidental tap of the space bar, but there should be no space between your sentence and mark, nor should the mark touch the previous sentence.
(: I'll be subscribing to see how this piece goes. Please, keep my advice in mind!
